Rabbits
Wei WuXian woke himself up with a loud sneeze. Something was tickling his nose! Opening one eye, glaring wearily behind a curtain of lashes, he could see a round, white face peering back at him. It's pink nose twitched, muzzle full of curious furrows as it sniffed every inch of his face.
"Hello, little rabbit," Wei WuXian croaked, still half-asleep. Yawning, he closed his eye again and clutched the snowball to his chest.
"Wait, rabbit!?"
He sprung up, patting the empty mattress beside him where his husband should have been sleeping off the alcohol he accidentally drank. Wei WuXian looked at the rabbit, the empty space, the rabbit, the space—his head spun and the rabbit only stared at him as if he had grown a second head.
"No way... are you... Lan-"
"Wei Ying."
Wei WuXian's heart nearly leapt from his throat. WangJi was standing at the edge of their bed. Of course he's not the rabbit, stupid! "Lan Zhan, what the hell are you doing?"
Voice low, Lan WangJi spoke one word, "Rabbits."
Indeed, he was stood motionless, holding a bouquet of nine wiggling white rabbits. Wei Wuxian blinked, and then he blinked again—for awhile, that was all he could do—before he managed to convince himself he wasn't dreaming.
"Um..."
"Rabbits," again came the sound of his intoxicated husband. His voice, when drunk, adopted a much deeper octave than what sobriety gave; if not for the adoration in his eyes, his lips swollen from alcohol's kiss, and the fluffle* of bunnies in his arms, anyone might feel threatened upon hearing it.
"I can see that, but why?"
At that, Wangji frowned before burying his face in the bundle of bunnies. His muffled voice came slowly, "I like them."
"I know, I know. Me too, but-"
"Then, for you."
Wei WuXian didn't even have time to scream as an avalanche of squeaking rabbits descended upon him! They bunnies were just as surprised as him as they all scrambled off the bed and raced around the room.
"Aiyah! Why would you do that?"
Lan Zhan puffed his rosy cheeks, looking away with a 'hmph'.
"Eh? Lan Zhan, why are you crying?"
"I... I really like rabbits," he tearfully confessed.

Captured
"Lan Zhaaaan! Please untie me, it's been hours!" Wei WuXian tugged on the tether which bound him to the sword stand. Suibian and Bichen rattled. Lan WangJi only stared at him, eyes glassed over by a drunken light and childlike mischief.
"Stay."
"I will, I will, I will! Lan Zhan, I was only leaving to fetch you water from downstairs!" They were in an inn between hunting gigs.
"Thirsty."
"Uh-huh. Water. Don't you want it?"
