Chapter 19

"Dani Dr Rosie wants you to assist her in making sure lulu's baby is okay."

I nod at Wes

Currently I'm preparing the evening meal for the giraffe's.

I hand the bucket over to Jane who was one of the keepers for the giraffes.

Grabbing my keys I get on my cart and drive to the wombat exhibit.

It's been roughly 9 months since I've permanently moved to Australia and do not regret it one bit.

The first few weeks to some getting used to, I mean living on a zoo isn't what it's like in movies, there's no animals waking you up in the morning by sticking there heads through the window, and having the paparazzi pretty much stalk our every move had taken some getting used to, not to mention getting stoped my fans to take pictures with them.

However actually getting to be around the animals 24/7 trumps all of the negatives.

I've never been happier cleaning up a zebra or giraffe crap.

Another plus, I also get to spend my whole whole day with the man I love, and the family I adore.

I would happily spend the rest of my life in Australia.

Last week I celebrated my 23rd birthday and they threw a massive party with an Amazing BBQ.

I've also officiously met my god daughter Izzy, a delightful 3 yr old who had a bubbly personality just like her mother.

Speaking of Tanya she finally moved into her own apartment with Izzy and was working for a local art museum as a art researcher.

Jackson hasn't spoken to Tanya since graduation and hasn't even met his daughter.

Apparently he's engaged to some preppy blond surfing instructor, Tanya had spent the evening ranting to me over the phone about it after seeing the post on Facebook.

Me and Robert were almost like two peas in a pod, sometimes I even snuck in the back row to watch him in the crocoseum where we would put on shows of him jumping croc's, and all types of trick, it never failed to scare me every time, but I always reminded myself that Robert was taught by Wes and Wes has been taught by Steve, Wes was like a second father to Robert and bindi, Wes would never put Robert in a situation that he didn't think Robert couldn't handle.

I make my way to the wombats, Dr Rosie is already there.

"Dani good your here I need you to keep her steady while i take a look inside the pouch."

I hold lulu steady and peer over the shoulder, I can see the little hairless joey sucking in his mother teet.

"All seems good."

We realise lulu and watch her hop off.

"Don't you have a date date with Robert tonight."

"Yh, we won't tell me where here going but just to dress causal/fancy, no idea what that even means."

Dr Rosie laughs.

"Well why don't you head back to the house to get ready, seriously you have worked hard enough today, and you've completed all of your reports."

I drop my cart back with the others and shut it off then walk back to the house.

It seems I'm the only one in the house, Terri's probably still with the animals and I'm not sure where bindi and chandler are.

All day I've been getting weird vibes of everyone , for example this morning I don't know how it was possible, but bindi seemed to be 10x happier this morning.
