Surfing gone wrong

Chapter 4

Two weeks passed since I had started my work placement, and now i was pretty much independent in my jobs at the zoo, no longer needing mike's Constance supervisions, which in itself was very rewarding knowing that you had been trusted to watch over the animals with no supervision.

But today however I was working in the vet hospital with Dr Rosie, as of right now we were doing a check up on a pregnant koala, just making sure both mother and baby were safe and healthy.

At the current moment I was having a cuddle with the koala, who for some reason has latched herself onto me

A voice spoke to me.

"Well it clear to see who she likes."

Looking up I came face to face with one Robert irwin, He was smiling at me and his mother terri was right behind him watching the koala.

"I guess she does, oh I'm sorry where are my manners my names Danielle I'm here on a work placement."

"We know who you are dear, you made quits the impression on bindi."

Terri speaks for the first time, I feel her calculating gaze wash over me.

She soon disappears to find one of the other vet  technicians leaving me and Robert alone.

for the next hour all we pretty much do is talk, mostly about the history of the koala I have in my arms.

Though of course I'm once again called my dr Rosie to help her look at a new patient.

Robert holds his arms out.

"I'll take her back to the enclosure for you."

I hand her over to Robert.

Dr Rosie walks over to me and hands me a clip board.

"We need to head over to the red panda exhibit coco has been rejecting food, so while I do a check up on him I'm going to need you to write down notes, then once we get back I want you to log all of the note's you taken into the system."

I quickly follow Dr Rosie out of the hospital and into a Cart just another day at the zoo.

Later in the evening

It's around 8pm when I arrive back at collage, though this time instead of it being an empty hallway there as someone siting outside my door.

It was Tanya.

Once she saw me approach she quickly stood up and Jogged over to me.

"Hey my little zoologists how was work."

I merely shrug me shoulders.

"Want that much of a busy day, mainly I was just taking notes and logging them into the system."

"Well, once you've had a shower meet me in my dorm, I need your help to pick out a swimsuit."

What?

Reading my look of confusion Tanya frowns at me.

"Don't you remember last week you agreed to come with us to the beach to relax and surf."

Oh shoot I did.

With everything going on in my life working at the zoo, Classes & babysitting it had completely slipped my mind.

"Please you promised."

Gosh really can't say no to that face.

"Okay give me 30 minutes."
