I hate her less today

She dropped off food while I'm practicing with a note saying:

Thank you for spending time with me last night – Jagi <3

I laughed at her effort of using a colored pen for the heart she wrote, maybe she borrowed it from Chaeyoung.

I shook my head and decided to think of the whole thing as amusing. After all, I did tell her that I'd set aside the fact that she was blackmailing me.

For a moment, I forgot the pain I was feeling because Joy was still gone.

She made me laugh today

I wasn't sleeping. It was 3 AM. I couldn't believe it was already the 8th but Joy and I were still not okay.

3 years and 6 months. That's how long we were supposed to be together but she was no longer beside me. I tried calling her, texting her, and seeing her, but JOy ingnored me.

In fact, I knew she was travelling with Sungjae now. It fucking hurt. I could feel hot tears forming on my eyes.

But then, my phone rang.

My heart was filled with hope thinking it was Joy. But it got crushed when I saw Nayeon's name instead. Still, I answered.

She was singing on the other line. Horribly. On purpose.

"Are you drunk?" I asked stopping her

"Wow. I was trying to cheer you up Jerk, you're such a terrible person" She said

"Cheer me up because?

"I stalked, Jagi"

I rolled my eyes at that even if she couldn't see it.

"It was supposed to be your Monthsary with Joy?"

My heart clenched, reminded me of how painful Joy's absence was making me feel.

"Y-yeah" My voice was breaking

"That's why I'm singing for you. This is once in a lifetime, Im Nayeon personally singing for a peasant like you"

I frowned "How's that supposed to help me, and what's with the 'peasant like you'"

"Because of my wonderful voice, you'll forget the pain, and didn't you know, aside from God Jihyo there's God Nayeon, the Epitome of Beauty and Brains"

I laughed when she started singing. She sounded serious. But her singing was horrible, and she was singing like that on purpose.

"S-Stop" I said, holding back my laughter "You make my eardrums bleed"

"But at least I made you laugh"

I smiled fondly. She did. She made me happy even just for a while.

She wasn't so bad after all.

I didn't see her or anything but she kept sending me videos of her dog kookeu. Really cute! Super duper cute!
