I opened the door of the airbnb and I saw my girls! I missed them even if it was just one day.

"Hi guys!"

I embraced them.

"Why did you hang up on me like that?" Ruth seemed bothered.

"It wasn't my phone." I explained to her.

"Are we just going to stand in the doorway?" Judy interfered.

We sat on the couch in the living room. Judy ordered chicken and beer. We warned her not to drink alcohol for this trip because she just recovered from a digestive problem. She agreed calmly and ordered herself a soda. While waiting for the delivery, they interrogated me as If I'm a criminal.

"So, Ruth told me you slept in a man's house. Did you do it?"

"What the hell!" I laughed. "He is definitely not my type. He's 5 years older than me. You know it's not going to work out."

I throw the plush pillow at her. She caught the pillow. Damn! She caught the pillow. "You should be quicker than that, Elle!" Judy boasted.

"You and your stupid rules! Age does not matter when it comes to love, Elle! Unless you're a pedophile then that's a crime but other than that, I really don't think it's a big deal. Besides, it's only a 5 year gap. I think it's kind of cute." Judy is free-spirited. She does not want to be hindered by societal norms. She loves her freedom. Although she's fearless, Ruth and I always look after her because she gets into trouble.

"When your friends, that's cute. But when you're lovers, it always gets complicated and that is a fact! I interjected.

"Elle is right, Judy. Beliefs make a person. If you stray away from what you believe in then it becomes a moral dilemma and we don't need that kind of energy in this vacation, okay?! We're here to have fun!! Please stop making me worry again, you two! Business school was hard as it is. Don't make me stress." Ruth sounds tired.

"Fine then! I won't stray Elle from her beliefs." She said dramatically.

The doorbell rang.

"I'll get it!" Judy ran to the doorway to receive the delivery.

"Elle, that guy, who called me earlier, was he the one who lent his phone to you?" Ruth was curious.

"Yes!" I laughed. "If not for him, I'll be lost."

"I should thank him properly then!" Ruth said with determination.

"No, no, no. You really don't have to. He's busy and you'll just get in his way. You know... with his schedule and stuff." Why am I nervous?

"Alright, if you say so." I don't think she believed me but what can I do? She catches things quickly.

Judy arrived with a bag of chicken on one hand and a bag of drinks in the other hand.

Ruth set up that table in the kitchen and Judy helped her take out the food and drinks from the bags.

I'm still in the living room. I'm dazed as I recall yesterday's events and earlier today because it was the true definition of unlucky. But the most bizzare thing that happened was meeting Jung Hae in. It felt like a dream.

"Elle! Get your ass here so that we can start eating and why are you smiling?" Judy shouted. She must be craving good food after heating hospital food. She is a picky eater.

"Coming!" I shouted back at her.

"Guys! Quiet down, will you? We are not in the Philippines anymore. Our neighbors might report us." Ruth said.

I sat and we started feasting.

"So, what do you want to do? I want to go to Jeju and surf! I've always loved the water and the many good restaurants!" Judy said while munching her chicken. She is the baby of the group despite being the tallest and strongest.

We did not prepare an itinerary for this month-long vacation. We want it to be as laid back as possible. Ruth insisted that she takes charge of the activities but we told her that she should relax.

"I've always been interested in visiting the Seoraksan National Park." Ruth exclaimed.

"I want to stay here for a couple days. I'm done commuting! It's tiring and dangerous." I said

"Since we want to do different things, what if we split up for this week and rejoined after." Judy suggested.

"No. We should all be together." Ruth insisted.

"I go with Judy on this one. I need those next 5 days to regain my energy." I countered.

"Yes! Thanks, Elle! I know I can count on you." Judy winked at me and I smiled at her.

"Fine! I yield." Ruth said.

"So... I'm going to my room now ang book a flight and I'll see you next Monday. Bye bitches!" Judy ran out of the table and into her room.

"Ruth, i think-"

"Yeah, I know." She laughs. "I'll catch a plane to Jeju after my park visit."

"Who knows what kind of trouble she'll stir in Jeju." I added.

"She can be a pain in the ass but what are friends for?" Ruth stood up at the table and started running to Judy's room.

"Why are you running?" I looked at her as she ran. What has gotten into her?

"Last to leave the table, clean the dishes." She laughs.

"Yah!"

She already went inside Judy's room.
