Chapter 1- Grace's first day at 51

I was walking into my new placing for my job as a paramedic due to my application to be transferred was accepted because of problems in my other house which was fire house 17 . I walk in the doors when someone ask

" Can I help you" some guy asked
"Um yes I am looking for chief Boden?" Grace replies
"Sure I take you too his office....." The guy spoke
"Sorry how rude of me but my name is Grace" she said
"Well nice to meet you Grace, hear is chief Bodens office."
"Thanks for your help" Grace thanks the guy
"Yes Casey can I help you" chief Biden spoke

Grace then thought ohh that's what his name was..... Casey.

"Well chief this is Grace" casey said to chief boden

Chief then said "ohh yeah Grace is the new paramedic at 51. Welcome to 51 Grace, come with me i'll introduce you to everyone and then go from there."

"Ok cool. and thanks for taking me in at 51" Grace said

"Casey can you call everyone into the common room please."

"Sure chief" casey replied

Chief and Grace walked into the common room.

Everyone was looking at you and chief

"Ok everyone I would like you to welcome the new paramedic, Grace she is taking Shay's place . Please treat her nice. Dawson can you show Grace her locker and show her around." Chief said to everyone

That's when some can up to Grace how she think is Dawson when her suspensions were taken away

"Hi Grace, Welcome to 51, my name is Dawson and I am the other paramedic I look forward to working with you. Come with me and I will show you around." Dawson said

"Ok cool." Grace replied to Dawson

"This is your locker, you are next to Severide and Casey, both of them are lieutenants."

"Thanks for showing me around" Grace said

Both the girls walked into the common room when some shouted to Grace saying

"Hey Grace, don't let Dawson drive you may not come out alive" someone said who was sitting next to Casey.

Everyone laughed at his joke and Dawson replied "So not true Hermann!!"

"Ok i'll make sure she doesn't drive the ambo then" Grace replied to Hermann and Dawson playfully punched Grace when the alam went off saying

*Ambulance 61, Truck 8, rescue squad 3 and battalion chief 25 factory fire 37 west road*

Everyone got up went to there perspective places and Dawson handed Grace the key saying

"You drive or you may not get to the fire alive" you both laughed

You were speaking about all sorts of things when you where driving to the scene when Dawson stopped you and asked

"Is that and Aussie accent I hear?"

Grace laughed and said " yes it is"

"Alright your nick name is Aussie from now on" Dawson said and radioed the boys and said "guys I just found out miss Grace is an Australian, so her nickname is now 'Aussie' ok?"

"Hey it's Severide here, I thought I herd an accent from you Aussie what part you from?"

Grace told Dawson to say Melbourne because she couldn't stop driving.

Dawson spoke into the walkie takie say "Aussie said Melbourne"

Minutes later they arrived to the fire to have no victims so they went back to fire house to have food while the rest of the guys stayed to put out the fire
