As we reached the ground floor, a few people were there doing their own business. A young woman knitting, a man sculpting something, and others.
"I'll go to my room. Nice meeting you again, miss..." I heard from behind me. It was Ignis, and as I turned, I only saw him waving while walking towards his room. The door piqued my attention, it has Don't you ever dare to go inside... written on it with what seemed to be charcoal.
Did Ignis write that...?
"Hey! Let us sit there!" I felt Lae's elbow nudge me as she pointed to a round wooden table with two plastic chairs.
I looked around as I walked towards the chair, sitting on it after.
"Is Ignis always like that? Sleepy?" I asked. It's like every time he speaks, he'll yawn after that.
"He's a poor insomniac creature, Pulcher told me," she said as she placed her sword sheath on the table, "He has some dark past going on around him..."
"Who's Pulcher?" I asked. They have been mentioning this person. Maybe one of those leader figures?
"Ah, you'll meet her soon!"
Come to think of it, Ignis is the complete opposite of Lae. It's like a mountain fell on him and he decided to carry it on his back since then. But now that I think of it, what happened to him must be so devastating that he stopped caring about everything altogether. Even his dreams are continuously plagued by nightmares that he developed insomnia.
"What a poor guy... I wonder what happened to him..." I fidgeted my fingers as I looked at the door of Ignis' room.
"Yes, but I dare not to know because I hate negative people! And besides," Lae held my hands and squeezed them, "You should not worry about him, he's strong..." She pressed my hands once more and beamed at me, "And who cares about Ignis? Today's about you!"
Oh, right... I still have so many questions unanswered because of Ira. I should ask them now.
"Before anything though, what do you think should we call you?" she smiled and cupped her cheeks as she placed her arms on the table.
"Hmmm, I don't really know... I couldn't think of anything either... Maybe you have something in mind...?" I told her.
"Well well well! For the long time that you'll be with us, I think we should call you something that is easy to say, unlike mine," she giggled, "What about Arca?"
"Whatever you think the best, I'm with it," I said. "I'm really happy that I've got a name that others can call me... I really can't remember my name and it makes me feel murky so that really helps!"
"Then Arca it is!"
"What do you want ladies?" A man approached us, wearing an apron. Is he the chef figure here? "You're the new girl, right? Welcome to the Stone City, I'm Legosi."
"Hello, Legosi!" Lae waved to the man and shifted back to me, "Arca, this is Legosi, he's one of the founding people of this place! He's in charge of the foods and drinks we're consuming here!"
"Nice to meet you, I still can't remember my name so I'm Arca!"
"Pleasure to meet you, Arca. So... what do you two want for a drink?"
"I think I'll have some orange juice, what about you, Arca?" Lae said and pointed at the paper taped on the countertop.
I stood up and looked at the paper.
They have so many drinks here... coffee, milk, tea, juice?
"You have coffee here?" I asked.
"Of course! Fortunately, our looters found grounded coffee bean packs from an abandoned fruit and vegetable shop," he said.
