"Of course," I answer Zara before smiling at Sav's phone screen just as the slightly blurry picture of our redheaded friend jolts. The beauty of Facetime.

"Are you sure, Bec? It's a big ask," Zara exclaims and I nod.

"It's hardly like I'm doing anything else with my days." I scoff.

"And you'll make it a surprise?" Zara asks and I grin.

"If that's what you want."

"I want one too," Sav pipes up. "A dress made by the wonderful Becky Gordon. We'll be the envy of everyone at the reunion!"

"Shut up!" I reach out and shove her shoulder as Zara giggles.

"She's right, Bec. Your dresses are amazing."

"They're alright." I shrug.

"Don't put yourself down-"

"How's Missy, Zara?" I cut Sav off, leaning over her shoulder and asking our friend about her girlfriend.

"She's fine." Zara smiles. "She's working the day shift today."

"Urgh! The worst!" I grimace and she nods.

"It does suck."

"I bet."

"Is there any news on Brett, Sav?" Zara asks and I cock an eyebrow.

"What? Why would there be news on Brett?" Sav retorts.

"I just thought-"

"We're just going to be co-parents, remember?" Sav exclaims and I can't hide my smirk.

"We'll see how long that lasts," Zara laughs and I nod.

"I agree! You've never been able to resist him!"

"Shut up!" Sav squeals, reaching for the pillow beside us on the couch, turning and whacking it around my head. "You two don't know what you're talking about!"

"You just can't handle the truth!" I smirk.

"Why don't you focus on your own love lives?" Sav rolls her eyes and I chuckle.

"I choose not to have one," I remind her.

"And mine is doing just fine, thank you!" Zara pipes up and Sav moans, slouching back on the couch.

"You two bully me."

"We do not," I argue, standing up. "If you'll excuse me, I have an appointment downstairs."

"Heath?" Sav asks and I nod.

"Who's Heath?"

"Just the guy who lives below us," Sav fills Zara in. "He's Becky's easy access fling."

"Right. Got it." Zara laughs.

"This has been fun ladies," I say over my shoulder, sweeping my keys off the counter and heading for the front door. Opening it, I can't help it when my eyes drop, scanning the floor for something, anything, outside our apartment.

Nothing.

It's official. Three days of no gifts. It didn't take him long to give up on me. I should have known.

Slamming the door behind me, I grind my teeth together as I make my way to the stairs, unable to shake the image of the cocky, yet handsome face of Ellis out of my damn head.

I smack my fist down onto Heath's door, not even having to wait five seconds before he pulls it open, smiling at me.

"You're early," he notes.
