Every Rose Has It's Thorns

Act 10: Point to the Blue ones!

The first days of travelling were boring, without a single trace of the Asari, but this quickly changed when we arrived to Yellow's colony, which first defense line was composed by Asarian combat ships, beginning a fierce space battle. I saw through the windows the battle of our forces against the Asari ones. It was magnificent to my young eyes, seeing the continuous interchange of lasers, the ships moving at high speed while attacking and trying to keep themselves in one piece. Our ships in that time were circular, like flying dishes or the actual UFO (Unidentified Flying Object) that the humans tend to find (and I think that even some human governments tried to shut down some and even captured few of them). The sky of the colony was somewhat orange mixed with purple.

-Wow, cool!- I said enthusiastic.

-Yeah, I like the part when our forces destroy their ships- Leggins said.

-Better keep yourselves away from the windows unless you want to be suck by the space- the General Rose said.

-Yes General- Leggins and I said.

The ship then started to felt some turbulence. Some Gems started to panic, giving me a little of their fear, but I keep calm and controlled.

-Calm down soldiers!- the General Rose said putting some order –this is just some turbulence, nothing to be worry-

The Gems started to calm and returned to their positions.

The ship felt more turbulence while we entered the atmosphere of the colony. We saw how many ships, both Gem and Asari, where in flames while falling into the colony, with their occupants burning in flames inside the ship while others were in free fall outside the ship. The Gems could survive it, but the Asari ones were already dead. A dreadful scenery that made me furious.

-"Curse you Asari! You will pay for that!"- I said angered seeing the shattering of some of my comrades.

The ship finally descended and landed. The gates opened and showed us the terrible panorama of Yellow's colony took by the Asari and many Gemstone's shattered in the floor, alongside with many Asari corpses. Some building were in flames, while all the images of the symbol of the Great Diamond Authority were vandalized and covered by a blanket or paint with their symbols. The sound of canyons and explosions were all over the place, as well of the cries of war of the combatants. In the capital of the colony, in Yellow's base could be seen lights fired to the sky to keep it free of the Gem forces, as well some detonations could be seen in other places to keep at bay the advance of the Gem troops, as well some blue shields could be seen time by time. The Asari were a little far to see them clearly.

-Rose Quartz, take your positions!- the General Rose said.

-Yes!- we said.

We put in the frontline and summoned our shields. We were the defense line of the squadron, charged to protect the squadron of the attacks of the enemy as well the first to fight against it.

-Advance!- the General Rose said.

We advanced slowly and get out of the ship, which closed it's doors and fly away to combat the enemy in the space. We continued to advance until we encountered a small group of Asaris, which opened fire when they saw us. They were exactly as the General Rose described. They were wearing black, tight plastic like clothes. We covered ourselves with our shields while advancing toward them. They were attacking us with guns that shoots small heat beams of light-blue color. An attack of it couldn't poof a Gem, only if she receives continuous shoots, also that if a Gem is hit in her Gemstone she can be shattered.
