Glimmer's POV:
I was sitting around at home. I was already ready for school and waiting for my mother. Her being principal of the school and all, it had it's benefits, like how I usually got to school early. "Glimmer!"
"Coming!"
I picked up my bag and made my way to the front door. I arrived at school and decided to just sit at the front and wait for Bo and Adora. Bo had arrived not too long later, since he knew I would be early.
"Hey Bo," I walked over to Bo and gave him a hug.
"Hi," Bo replied back. "Did you finish that English essay?"
I nodded. "It wasn't so easy at first, but I understood everything eventually."
"Good because I am not quite done yet," Bo whispered.
I giggled. "Sure. But you are going to have to promise me that you will help me complete my science practical report."
"Deal."
We sat down in a small room, in the library. I messaged Adora to meet us there and helped Bo with his essay. "You know," I began. "I was thinking... I want to help actually create something beneficial to the school."
"Like what?" Bo asked.
"A club."
"A club?"
"Yes a club. Why do you so surprised?"
"It's just... Didn't your mum create a club too in high school?"
"Yeah... I know I said I didn't want to be like her, so stern and all. But I think it would be good to develop leadership skills."
Bo nodded. "Fair enough. What sort of club were you thinking?"
"I was thinking an LGBTQ+ safe space. We need a place for people in the community to feel free of expressing themselves without judgement. I know homophobia isn't as prominent as it used to be, but we can't ignore the fact that it still exists and we can't ignore the past."
Bo smiled gently. "That's a great idea," he whispered as he stopped typing onto his laptop. We looked into each others eyes. I felt like I could stare into them for eternity. Then we heard the door open. I immediately jumped away from Bo and turned to the door.
"I'm here!"
It was Adora. "Hi Adora," my voice croaked. What just happened? Thoughts went through my head. My heart was pounding, but it started to steady as I calmed myself. I sat back down beside Bo awkwardly. I looked at Bo. He tried to act as if nothing happened, but I could see right through him. I turned back to Adora. "We were just talking about an LGBTQ+ safe space Adora," I said cheerfully. "I was wondering if you guys would like to help me. I will go speak to mum about it and then we can start planning, hopefully starting it by Friday!"
"Sounds like a plan to me," Adora smiled
"Sounds good," Bo mumbled as he continued typing.
"Great! I will just go speak to her now."
Catra's POV:
I was walking to my locker. As I walked past so many strangers, I could feel their excitement. The first rugby game was coming up. I opened my locker, grabbing out my books.
"Hey there!" A voice spoke behind me. "Catra right?" I turned around to see Scorpia. I looked at her hands and noticed a few fingers missing from her left hand. I looked up at her face trying not to be so rude and mumbled, "Yep, that's me."
"I thought so," Scorpia smiled. "It would be so awkward if I had gotten the wrong person."
"Haha, yeah," I spoke back.
"Shall we go to English?"
"We shall."
We walked off to English together. Yet again, I saw Adora. I turned away from her as she tried to make eye contact with me. "Ooh that sounds fun," Scorpia said, pointing at a poster on the door.
I turned to where she was pointing. "Absolutely not," I quickly turned back to Scorpia.
"Why not? It would be fun! We might even make some new friends!"
"Because, knowing who runs the club, means that Adora would be there."
"What's going on with that by the way? You and Adora?"
"Doesn't matter," I mumbled as I quickly averted eye contact away from Scorpia.
"If you say so," Scorpia shrugged.
The door was opened and we walked in. Scorpia whispered into my ear, "That's Shadow Weaver. Everyone in the school calls her that. I don't think she cares she is called that though. She is actually called Light Spinner, or well, we call her Miss Spinner. In secret though, everyone just knows her as Shadow Weaver for the way she acts."
"I know who she is," I mumbled.
"Oh! Sorry."
We sat down at the back of the class.
~~~
It was Friday before I knew it. Scorpia was dragging me along from Science, to the LGBTQ+ Safe Place. It was a nicely decorated small room in the library. The decorations were cute. There was a poster with all the pride flags on it. I looked at Scorpia as she grinned. Guess I decided to stay for her. We sat on the opposite side of the room where Adora and Bo were sitting.
"Hello!" A person with a Nonbinary flag as a small pin on the collar of their shirt walked over and sat beside us.
"Oh hi! I'm Scorpia!"
"Oh yes I know who you are, but who are you?" They pointed to me.
"Answer who you are first, and maybe I'll answer."
"Oh I'm sorry, where are my manners. Double Trouble, captain of the drama club! Runs every Tuesday if you are interested."
"Absolutely not," I said. "I have no interest in performing in front of people. I'm Catra."
"Well, it's good that you know each other now!" Scorpia clasped her hands together.
"Alright gang!" I turned to the front to where Glimmer was talking. "First order of business is hearing what activities you all want to do!"
