What about Mic?

A/N: I apologize if there are inconsistencies in the story. I keep forgetting the main plot and have to reread chapters so I remember what's going on. But thank you for keeping me motivated to continue it!

Aizawa's P.O.V.
" . . . What?" He watched as AllMight searches for the right words to say. Before too long, his arm dropped from the back of his neck and he let out another sigh.

"He quit." Aizawa's eyebrows furrowed deeply.

"What do you mean he quit??" His fists clenched tightly, crumpling papers on his messy desk. Anger and confusion ran through him as he tried to process what was going on. "He would've told me if he was planning on quitting."

"That's the thing," AllMight replied softly as he pulled a paper out of his pocket. "He left a note."  He held it out to Aizawa, who only glared at it.

"What? He couldn't tell me in person? Why the hell would he quit!" He didn't bother hiding the anger in his voice. He was upset. Upset with Mic for not telling him. Upset for himself for not knowing. Just upset!

"The note is addressed to you."

"So he quit in person but couldn't even say goodbye?"

"No, he left an email. Nezu told me. He said that Mic left something for you on his desk."

"What the hell! None of this makes any sense!" He slammed his fist on the desk, earning a complaint from his computer. AllMight walked forward and placed the letter on his desk.

"I think it's best if I leave.. maybe his note will answer why." He turned around and walked back to the door. Aizawa could see him pause out of the side of his eye. "This was a shock to all of us." With that, he left.

Aizawa stared at the note. "What the hell Yamada.." he whispered to no one in particular. Mic was the one who always wanted to be a teacher. A hero. He loved teaching children almost as much as he loved saving people. "Why?" He picked up the note and unfolded it. The writing was definitely Mic's. For some reason it was written in English. Aizawa scowled. "Why the hell would you leave me a letter in English you idiot." With a frustrated growl, he uncovered his computer yet again and opened it up. He looked up the o-so-reliable google translate and typed the message in.

         "'Hello Eraserhead,
I am sure you are wondering why I quit. There are a multitude of reasons, but the main reason is I have found something else."'

"Something else?" Aizawa's brows furrowed in confusion. "What the hell does that mean??"

"'So I have made my decision to leave UA. I decided not to tell you because I knew you would be upset. I hate seeing you upset and I know you have been very stressed out lately. I am sorry about this, I truly am. I hope you can forgive but.. do not come looking for me."'

'What?'

"'And I mean it.
  Your best friend,
    Yamada."'

Best has been crossed out.

Aizawa stared at his computer. The questions he had just kept piling up. The note didn't answer a single thing. If anything, it just made the situation worse. Did he scare Yamada away? Is he hurt? Was he sad here? Why would he leave? Do any of the students know about this? Can he even do this?

He reread the note over and over again, hoping that he missed something. He studied the hand written one, looking for any clues. Anything. He didn't even notice when students started walking back into class, despite how noisy they were. When the bell rang, there was a moment of silence as all the students glanced at Aizawa, before starting to talk again. He didn't notice nor did he care. After a minute, Iida stood up.

"Sir! I do not mean to be rude, but the bell has rang. Will we be starting class?" His arms flailed about in their normal manner as he talked. Aizawa finally noticed them and looked up. His blank face held a hint of confusion.

"Uh, yeah, whatever. Open your books to page.. to page.." he looked through his pile of notes before flinging his wrist up. "Oh fuck it." He murmured to himself before speaking to the class again. "The rest of the day is a study day." Before anyone, mainly Iida and Midoriya, could say anything, he spoke again. "I don't want to hear a peep out of any of you. If you do, the whole class has to go run laps until school is out." He stared down all of his stupids, silently daring them to make a noise. It was silent. With that, he looked back down at the note and continued studying it.

The silence only lasted for about half an hour before someone spoke. True to his word, he made the entire class run laps for the rest of the day.  Even the class could tell he was upset about something, but they didn't know what.

A/N: I rushed this so it's not exactly what I wanted, but I hope you enjoyed it. I'll try to make things more interesting in the next chapter.
