Deep Thoughts

A/N: So what do you guys think of the new cover? I thought it needed major updating, haha.

Midoriya's P.O.V.

PresentMic's disappearance was odd to say the least. No one saw it coming, especially the teachers. Mr. Aizawa seemed to be dealing with it the hardest. He slept in class more and made the students do more field training then before.  Midoriya has been trying to figure out if there was anyway him or the other students could help their teacher feel better. But so far, nothing seemed to help.

It's been four days since the voice Hero has quite. Midoriya would join his radio talk every night, but Presentmic was never there. It sounded like he had quit that job as well and let someone else take his place. The new person wasn't as quirky or out going as him, so sometimes it was a bit of a drag. Yet, they were trying their best Midoriya could tell.

He sighed as he listened to the new guy talk about new and upcoming heroes. Normally, he would be all for it; his notebook out, pencil flying wildly as he muttered to himself. It was sad to think about that. Instead, Midoriya was racking his brain, looking for any signs that could help him answer the question.

Why did Presentmic do this?

Where did he go?

Is he dead?

Ok, so there was more then one question. Midoriya shook his head, loose curls bouncing around. "No. He can't be dead. Don't even think about that Deku. That's just.. worse case scenario." That's always worse case scenario.  "But even so, he is a popular hero so I'm sure a lot of villians would be after him.  If someone snuck up behind him they could probably easily take him down.  Well, if they are able to gag him before he can yell. But if they had bugs it really wouldn't be too hard.  Maybe someone with a bug quirk got him?  But that would not explain the letter. Maybe-"

There was a knock on his door.  "Izuku?"  The innocent voice of his concerned mother flowed through the door.  "Izuku, are you still up?"

"Uh, yeah, I'm up mom.."  He sighed as he pulled his headphones off.  "Come in."  The door creaked softly as his mother walked in, wearing her slippers and bathrobe.  "What are you doing up so late?"

"I was going to ask the same thing."  Her brows turned up as she walked over to him.  "Are you listening to the radio show again?"  Midoriya nodded, his dark green curls bouncing lightly.  He felt a soft touch on his shoulder as his mother tried to comfort him.  "He's not back, is he?"  The curls swooshed as he shook his head no.  "Oh baby," she hugged him tightly.  "I'm sorry, I know how much you liked him."

Liked him, as if he was dead.  Midoriya sat there quietly as his mom spoke of Presentmic.  He wasn't really comprehending what she said, as his mind was elsewhere.  All he heard were his thoughts bouncing through his head.  It had been decided.  There was no way the voice hero would do something like this, and the only way to be certain was to investigate!  It couldn't be too hard.  Midoriya knew where the radio station was.  And he was sure Aizawa would be willing to answer a few questions.  Maybe.

"Hey mom."  His voice cut through hers.  She looked at him softly.  "I think I'm going to go to bed, ok?"

She smiled softly and nodded, "Ok, baby."  With that, she leaned over and gave him a kiss on the cheek.  "Try and get some sleep."

"I will."  He gave her an encouraging smile as she stood up.  She returned it, though hers was more tired and unsure, he could tell.  As she left, he heard her sigh softly before shutting the door.  His posters fluttered softly from the wind.  The room sat in silence as Midoriya contemplated his next steps.  He could go to home room early, but Aizawa never got there early.  Maybe he could talk to him at lunch, or get a small team to help him investigate.  The others for sure would be willing to help him.

The next morning came quickly, as Midoriya had spent all night coming up plans and questions for Aizawa.  The only thing was how tired he was, but too bad.  There was no time to be tired.  He had decided to head to school early anyway in hopes to catch his friends and talk about his plans with them.  The biggest problem of the day would be getting Aizawa to talk.  Or stay away.

When he got to the classroom, Iida and Bakugo were there having an arguement, so the usual.  No one else had arrived yet, but then again it's still twenty minutes before class starts.

"I keep telling you,"  Iida's raised voiced filled the empty classroom.  His arms flailed wildly as he spoke to and unconcerned Bakugo.  "As students of UA, we need to set an example for the rest of the world.  We represent the greatest hero school so we should look our best.  You attire is never finished without a tie!" He pulled a spare one out of his pocket.  Of course he had a spare one.  "Here, I'll let you use my extra one.  It is a sacrifice I am willing to make."

Bakugo snorted and took the tie.  With a sneer, he said, "Want to know what I think of your damn sacrifice?"  With that, he blew up the tie."

Iida's mouth went agape and his face flushed red.  "How dare you!"  His arms shot up.  "It is completely disrespectful to do such a thing to a gift!"

Oh dear, was all Midoriya could think as he watched this go down.  Neither one had noticed him yet and he was nervous to speak up.  But there was no time for that.  With a deep breath, he let out a small cough.  Iida paused his lecture to look over at him.

"Oh, Midoriya.  I see you have arrived early.  I was just lecturing Bakugo here on proper etiquette, but I suppose it comes to no avail."  He sighed softly as he adjusted his glasses.

"Um, I would like to talk to you, if you're done.."

"Of course."  Iida looked back at Bakugo's smug ass grin before walking over to Midoriya.  "What is it? you look worried."

"I'll tell you when the others get here, we're going to need their help."
