Inside her eyes a masterpiece

Nabi, sat slouched over her cluttered study table in her messy room. Her dark hair was tied back in a haphazard bun, a few unruly strands framing her face. She was completely absorbed in her iPad, sketching out a dress and singing softly along to the song playing from her speakers.
"We said our last goodbyes," she murmured along with the lyrics, her voice blending into the music filling the room.
Shin Nabi, a 21-year-old fashion student.
"Oh, you might not be mine But I'll always be watching."
Brushing the last stroke, she smiled with satisfaction, lowering the screen.
"Now you're forever haunted, oh-oh."
She glanced around her study table, which was a mess of papers—some half-drawn, others crumpled. Her pen stands were filled with a variety of pens and pencils, and the desk was dotted with Avengers figurines and anime idols. The side wall was plastered with manga comic pages. Some might mistake her for a boy, but it was just her love.
Bobbing her head and humming to the song playing at mid-volume from her speakers, she continued to draw a dress.
"You'll never have to be alone My beautiful darling."
She raised her arms, which had been busy for hours, and cracked her neck in exhaustion. Being a fashion student was no easy task.
Just then, her mom barged into the room, her expression stern. "Nabi, it's the weekend! You've been in this room all day. It's time to come out and join us. We're having dinner with some of your father's friends."
Nabi whined, "But Mom, I'm in the middle of something important."
Her mom crossed her arms, giving her a typical Asian mother stare. "No excuses, young lady. You've been cooped up in here since morning. Now, get up and get ready."
Nabi sighed, "Fine, I'll be down in a minute."
There was no point in arguing, was there?
Not after spending the entire day inside her room.
Ufff!
"What a weekend," she muttered to herself, rolling her eyes.
"Honestly, I never liked guests coming over to our place. Seriously, invading my personal space and all that. I had to behave like a lady, instead of lounging with one leg dangling and the other with a hand on."
She shook her head, frustration evident in her voice. "I had to brush my hair, and put on decent clothes instead of my PJs all day."
"Nabi, do I have to say it again?" Her mom snapped as she walked towards the door. Nabi was thankful that her back was turned, hiding the annoyed expression on her face.
"I aammm comiinnggg," Nabi sang in a bored voice as she stood up from her chair.
"If Appa would have allowed me to stay in a hostel," Nabi whispered to herself as she walked into the bathroom to finally take a bath.
Of course, she hadn't bathed all day.
How could she forget? Oh yeah, sometimes she forgot to take a bath too, hehe. She often ended up taking a bath at night as well.
She had been drawing up the damn sketch since morning for a book event. She chose dark romance because of her obsession with it and Chris Grey's songs.
Oh, his songs were on the next level for dark romance. For inspiration, she often looked up his music lyrics.
"Let the world burn for you!" she sang in a high pitch while turning on the shower.

"Taehyung, son, you are coming? Are you sure?" his mother asked, eyeing him as he adjusted his white shirt and charcoal-black trousers. Taehyung nodded absently, his attention still on his phone. His father shook his head in disbelief.
"It's better to bring him along too, Yebo," his father remarked, opening the car door. "He could meet Mr. Shin; it would be good for this ass."
Kim Taehyung, 27 years old, CEO of KimCo, was a silent storm. His stoic expression often came off as rude or arrogant, but it was simply his introverted nature.
"Yeah, Mr. Shin's always been a great motivator," Taehyung's mother said eagerly. "And Mrs. Shin! Oh, we've met several times at the golf club. She's so sweet, and they have a daughter—she's absolutely lovely!"
"Mom," Taehyung interjected with a bored expression, his eyes flickering up from his phone. "Are you both going to talk here all night?"

Taehyung strolled casually with his parents, lured by the promise of food—especially Mrs. Shin's famous strawberry pudding his mom had praised.
But there was more to his interest. He recalled seeing Mr. Shin's daughter months ago in a photo his mom showed his dad. She was described as a fashion student, among other things.
Taehyung found her pretty, and ever since that glimpse, he'd been curious to meet her in person. His curiosity had only grown since then.
Taehyung greeted Mr. and Mrs. Shin with a polite nod, his eyes immediately scanning the room for their daughter, but she was nowhere in sight. Would she even show up for this dinner?
"The food's ready, dear. Let's go," he reminded himself, his thoughts interrupted by a hand on his shoulder. It was Mrs. Shin. He nodded back and followed her toward the dining table. Taking his seat, he glanced around the room with curiosity.
"Oh, Mrs. Shin, where's Nabi?" Taehyung's mom asked eagerly.
"Nabi?" Taehyung wondered, his interest piqued.
"Don't tell me she's been stuck with her iPad all day... Oh! There she is," Mrs. Shin exclaimed suddenly, her gaze shifting toward the stairs.
Taehyung's eyes were drawn to the staircase just as his heart skipped a beat.
There was Nabi, descending the stairs with a gentle sway in her steps, her gaze lowered. She was dressed in a sleek, black dress that hugged her figure elegantly. Her dark hair cascaded over one shoulder in loose waves.
Taehyung couldn't help but notice how her eyes briefly scanned the room, taking in her surroundings with a hint of curiosity. It seemed she was assessing the situation before joining the gathering.
Mrs. Shin beamed proudly, "There's our Nabi." Taehyung's gaze lingered on Nabi, captivated by her presence and the way she carried herself. This was his first time seeing her in person, and she was even more captivating than he had imagined.
"Coming for the dinner wasn't that bad after all," Taehyung chuckled to himself silently.
