"WHAT DID I GET MYSELF INTO?!" marinette asked as she paced back and fourth
she was with alya for like the first time in who knows how long they were finally hanging out in marinette's dorm since adrien was with nino
"I cant believe you actually said yes" alya chuckled
"STUPID AGRESTE!! UGHHHH!" she groaned
"what did he do now?" felix asked as he entered the room "oh shortstack, I need to ask you something" he added
"shortstack?" alya questioned as she turned to her friend
"it's short for blueberry shortstack because..." she paused as she walked over to felix and gestured the height
difference "oh and it's also because I call him graham vanilla so we are even" she added
"you both still haven't answered my question" felix reminded
"I don't wanna talk about it" marinette groaned as she plopped on her bed face down
felix just turned to alya with a questioning look
"so basically she's going with adrien to the dance" she claimed
at first felix stared in shock and disbelief but then started laughing " how did that even happen?" he asked
"chloe was clinging onto adrien as usual and then adrien asked marinette to get him out of the situation since chloe wanted to go to the dance with adrien" alya explained "so adrien said that he was going to the dance with marinette so chloe would go away and marinette went with this white lie"
"and...?" he asked confussed
"in order to main this lie she actually has to go with him to the dance" "and now she's here"
"i really think chloe was in on this!" marinette muffled into the pillow while pointing a finger
"but she likes adrien..... and she hates your guts" felix cleared
"STILL!!!" marinette muffled once more
"what were you going to ask me?" she asked as she sat up straight
"oh that... nevermind" felix answered
marinette shrugged her shoulders and then made a sudden realization "WAIT A MINUTE!" she yelped "HOW THE FUCK DID YOU EVEN GET IN WITHOUT KNOCKING?!"
felix started laughing "i was about to knock but then when i held the door knob it was unlocked and if i did knock you probably wont even be able to hear it over your screams of terror"
"ALYA WE'VE BEEN HERE FOR ALMOST IN HOUR AND THE DOOR WAS UNLOCKED?!" the blue screamed
"yeah basically"alya chuckled as she rubbed the nape of her neck
"ANYWAYS!" alya said as she clapped her hands "felix are you going to the dance?" she asked cheekily
"I don't know" felix replied sternly
"sheesh such a downer" alya complained
"oh go to hell cesaire" felix spat
"jeez I would but satan still has his restraining order against me" alay fired back
"could you two stop bickering" marinette interviened "ALYA I STILL HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR AND THE DANCE IS WITHING TWO WEEKS"
"alright lets go shopping" alya said as she hopped of the bed
"felix be a dear and lick the door when you leave" alya said as she walked out the door pulling marinette by the hand not allowing felix to say anything
as they were walking through the mall alya decided to ask marinette something
"hey mari?" alya called "hmm?" marinette hummed in response
"right you said when we started freshmen year you would'nt fall for adrien...?" alya's voice trailed "yeah.... where is this going?" marinette replied
"then why do you care so much about what are you gonna wear to the dance? I mean, there's still two weeks and in that time you could clearly make your own dress just to rub it in chloe and lila's faces" alya said with concern
"it's why we are at the mall isn't it? to buy supplies?" marinette said

"oh. then let's go get you your materials!" alya exclaimed as she pulled her bestfriend's arm once again
at the fabric store marinette was skimming her eyes on the different fabrics
really stupid idea of going to the mall to buy fabrics without even sketching out a design first
not long afyer marinette's eyes landed on some red fabric and remembered something
"have I ever told you how good you look in red?" was the words adrien said a few days ago
"the red silk" marinette pointed "oh and the see through black fabric"
marinette was excited to make this
"ohhhhh see through~" alya elbowed her friend
"for your information cesaire it's actually quite the opposite" marinette snickered at her bestfriend's thoughts
"as if I would go that far to impress adrien" she said in a mocking tone
"tsk tsk I didn't say anything about that" alya teased with a smirk of victory
"whatever cesaire, c'mon i have to get started on this" marinette chimed as she was paying
"whyare you in such a rush? you could literally finish the hardest physics equation withing thirty minutes and you even finished a dress within twelve hours" alya asked
"alya I tend to procrastinate a lot, better get started now right?"
alya was happy for her friend's sudden enthausiam but she was worried about it as well
besides.....

alya was scared for her friend, marinette has been strong for seventeen years and adrien could shatter her with a flick of his wrist
yes, alya was one of the girls that fell for his charms but sometimes she wondered
why didn't adrien make a move on marinette before?
why did he spare her all those years?
it's like he didn't even try.... I mean
he can finish the freshmen within three months
alya has noticed how marinette reacts around adrien now compared to three years ago
