(Not any smut in here but it's sad and short :(
The sound of a pencil writing sounded through the room. Tyler was writing on a long piece of paper under the candlelight. It wasn't the happiest letter ever, it was a goodbye letter. Tears dripped down on the paper. The ship rocked harshly as the waves got more violent. He felt terrible, he wanted to disappear. You might ask why? Why does he want to leave? He's in love. It's not a normal type of love. He fell in love with his best friend! And the worst part is, he's a man! His own gender. Tyler sobbed into the paper as he wrote down his confession. He was ashamed. What would his best friend think?! "I love you, I love you," he whispered, his voice cracked. Tyler dropped the pencil when he finished. He was crying that gut-wrenching type of cry, the cry that left you aching. He had left his best friend with a smile, he smiled softly as he remembered what his friend had said as he left, "Bye Ty! I'll see you tomorrow. Take care, okay?," then he smiled. The way the corner of his eyes crinkled, his eyes would squint, his perfect teeth would shine. He hugged Tyler and whispered, "If you need anything you can always call me," his friend said, he knew Tyler had nights where he couldn't sleep, nights where it just seemed hopeless to wake up the next day. Tyler sobbed. He fell in love. With a man, his best friend. Tyler folded the letter and placed it on the bed. He climbed up the stairs with a blurry vision. Jump. Do it. He'll hate you. You're just an idiot for falling in love with him. Tyler opened the door to the deck of the boat. The wind blew making it harder to breath, his stuffy nose was already enough. Tyler gasped for air as he sobbed violently.
"I'm sorry, Joshua. I'm sorry, " he whispered.
He closed his eyes.
Don't use death as a form of succession.
But he did.
And he regretted it.
Tyler drowned, the waves too hard on him as if they wanted him to drown.
The next day the ship came, empty. Joshua stared at it in horror. "Tyler?" he called. "No, no, no," he gasped. He ran into where the bedroom was. No one. It was dead silent. He grabbed the letter and read over it. His hands shook as he read further into it. "Tyler, no," he said tears started running down his cheeks. "Tyler!" he cried falling onto his knees. The truth was Joshua also loved him. "Why did you have to leave?! I love you too!" he cried. He laid there crying for hours until someone went to get him up. "He's dead! There's no point in living anymore! He was my pride and joy! Now he's dead! And it's my fault," he cried to his mother. The funeral was terrible, Joshua sobbed when they found the body. It was never to walk the earth again. Never. The church bells rang.
You were his pride and joy. He loved you. Joshua loved you , Tyler.
Tyler woke up in a cold sweat. He burst into tears. No one was dead. It was just a dream. A dream. Joshua woke up to the sound of his cries. "Ty, what's wrong?" He asked, taking the boy in his arms. "I love you, I love you," Tyler whispered, burying his face in Josh's chest. Josh smiled softly and kissed his forehead. "Bad dream again? I'm still here, I'm still your boyfriend, " Josh whispered. "We're alive," he said, hugging the boy tightly. As if on cue the sun rose. A new day. Another day of trying. And so their lips met in an entrancing kiss.
