Jotaro | Lullaby

^^ that song makes me cry everytime!! I remember listening to it many months ago until recently I remembered it!! Idk much about part6 so excuse me if I got anything wrong!

Shushing the little child in your arms, you couldn't help but feel stressed about it.

Laying her head on your chest, you patted her back, as you frantically walked around the living room to make her sleep,"Shh, Shh, it's okay! It's just a nightmare, don't- don't cry!"

Hearing her cries get louder, you stared to feel agitated, feeling your anger rise.

Containing your rising anger, you tried sweet talking,"It's alright, little Jolyne! I'm here, no need to be scared! I'll protect you and keep you safe!"

Wailing louder, your anger snapped, before you can leave her alone to cry on the floor, an angel arrived just in time.

Hearing the front door click open, you turned around with teary eyes,"You're home!"

Looking up at you, he saw your distress,"Yare Yare," taking his shoes off, he picked up Jolyne from your arms,"You're so useless."

Tears falling, you smiled up at him,"I-I'm just not used to kids, heh."

Shaking his head, he gave your head a small pat, before going to his room, with the crying Jolyne. Following him, you watched as he took his coat off, tossing it aside. Sitting down on the bed, he rocked little Jolyne on his lap, comforting her, as he softly pat her back.

You watch with admiration in your eyes, as the giant, cold brute man, easily win a child's heart. I mean, he IS her father. As you watched with a small smile on your face, your eyes went wide, as you heard her speak.

"D-daddy?"

Looking down at her, he hummed,"What?"

Looking up at him, with adorable, sleepy eyes, she yawned,"Can you sing me the lullaby?"

Tilting your head, you were curious,"Lullaby?" You whispered to yourself.

Sighing, Jotaro, leaned back onto the bed, having her lay on his chest,"If it'll make you go to sleep, then fine."

Quietly giggling, Jolyne, closed her eyes,"It always does."

Rolling his eyes, Jotaro took his a breath before singing.

You stood by the door frame, shocked and amazed at Jotaro's vocals. You never once thought of this man to be vocally good. You watched as he sang from deep in his heart of a story. You don't know why, but you feel as if he sang like he was there personally. You could hear the sorrow, adventure, and hurt from his chords shaking a bit. Your eyes went wide, as you saw a tear slip from his ocean eyes, when he hit the last note.

Walking next to him, you softly sat on the bed, gently moving Jolyne off him, so she could sleep more comfortable. Tucking her in, your eyes went soft, as you stared at her peaceful visage.

Letting out a small laugh, you looked at Jotaro,"You alright?"

His back was already facing you, as he quickly wiped his tears away,"I'm fine, woman."

Sighing, you gave a small smile to his back, as you stared at Jolyne,"You know, you shouldn't be keeping things to yourself. It's okay to talk to someone."

Hearing him shift on the bed, you heard his voice barely above a whisper,"It's too much.."

Getting up, you walked to him, standing in front of his sitting figure. Staring at his slumped form, you brought his face to your chest, as you soothingly caressed his dark, soft hair.

Looking at the white wall ahead of you, you felt your heart slowly crack,"I understand, Jotaro," sniffing, you held in your tears,"Even though, I'm not like your last wife, I-I hope I can still be there for you."

Tears falling, Jotaro slowly wrapped his arms around your waist,"Don't say that.."

Letting out a dry chuckle, you stared down at his head,"If I'm being honest," holding his face, you leaned down to his eye level,"I promise to always be by your side, Jotaro."

His glossy eyes, lit up in hope, as he stared into your (e/c) ones,"Promise."

Smiling, you leaned your forehead to his,"Promise."

Grabbing your body, you were brought down with him, as you laid on his chest. His large, comforting arms held you tightly, as if preventing you from leaving, keeping you safe.

Eyes closed, you quietly listened to his heart beat,"Jotaro." Hearing a small hum, in reply, you felt your lips tug upwards,"Can you sing me the lullaby?"

Hearing an annoyed sigh, you couldn't help but giggle. But he did what you requested.

He sang his lullaby.
