𝐄𝐈𝐉𝐔𝐍❜𝐒 𝐊𝐍𝐄𝐄𝐒 𝐒𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐃 at him in agony and pain, but he ignored it. It was nothing compared to what he was dealing with inside of him, his emotions tumbling and crashing over one another until he felt as though he couldn't breathe. And those sensitive feelings only brought tears to his eyes.
Although it could have also been from the upstirred dust.
The particles covered his fingers, making them grimy with a layer of film. He absentmindedly touched his index finger and thumb together; the attempt to distract himself merely worked a fraction of what he had hoped. He just couldn't seem to keep himself together with the sight of all his hats simply tossed in a box.
"Oh, yeah. I forget to tell you that I didn't have time to sort through those things." Eijun turned to look at the man sitting in his desk chair, his arm slung over the backrest lazily. He remembered his name without a second's hesitation: Shou Okazaki.
Or, in other words, Kazuya Miyuki's intolerable dormmate.
Eijun never really cared for him and his attitude from the very beginning, but he was forced to deal with his sneers and harsh words. The man never once really cared about anything when it came to Kazuya in the first place ― which Eijun honestly didn't mind at the time. But how he treated Kazuya's memory left a bad taste in Eijun's mouth.
"So you just threw them in a box?" Eijun tried to hold his tongue, but his question came out more as if he were snapping at the twenty-two-year-old man.
His glare never faltered once Shou slammed his feet down on the ground as he leaned forward. His over-towering height caused a small flicker of terror to spread throughout Eijun's body, but he refused to let it show. Shou pointed his long finger at him. "It's not my fault I'm up to my neck in studying. I don't have time to look through and neatly pack away some dead guy's crap."
Eijun snapped. Standing up, he pushed away Shou's hand and clenched his jaw. "Some dead guy's crap? He was your roommate, Okazaki. You were the one who spent the most time with him, and yet you talk about him as if he meant nothing!" His palms hurt from his fingernails digging into his skin from the indifferent look in Shou's eyes.
Push them down, he told himself, forcing himself to take deep breaths before he exploded in a raging fit. So, without another word to Shou, Eijun spun on his heel and closed the box flaps, making sure they were secure before hoisting it up in his arms.
Shou grunted out from behind Eijun's back, a low chuckle coming from him that seemed more to ridicule Eijun rather than due to pure amusement. "Why do you even care that much about him? Miyuki was always an ass whenever we talked; always grinning and saying thank you when someone tried to insult him. Who would care about someone like ― "
