Chapter 10 He's engaged ?

Taehyung' POV

- 2 days later -

I park my car and as I came out, everyone turn to look at me. I was used to it but what I wasn't use is the shock on their face.

As I past by a group of girl I heard their conversation.

"Omg ! Did you heard about the rumor ?"

"Yeah ! I can't believe it ! Is he really engaged to someone ?"

"I don't know, that's what people said. Apparently he defended a girl on Saturday and said she's his fiancé"

"She's so lucky"

"Yeah, and you know what ?"

"What ?"

"The girl is the same than the one who came in school with another uniform on"

"Really ?! I was wondering how did she get in here. She could come in because she's the daughter in law of the principal ?"

"Yeah, I think"

"Do you think he's serious in his relationship"

"Yeah I think because if he wasn't serious he wouldn't be engaged"

I roll my eyes and continue to walk to my class, not bothering stop at my locker.

When I enter in the class, like earlier, people turn to look at me and start to whispered. I sigh and sit at my place, hoping the day would pass quickly.

Of course they would heard about me being engaged. After all my classmate were in the restaurant and I'm pretty sure that they heard a big part of our conversation...

When it was finally lunch time, I quickly put my stuff in my bag and walk toward the cafeteria, trying to avoid any person that would like to confirm the rumor.

"So, is it true ?" Jimin when I sit at our usual table.

"What is true ?" I ask

"The rumor ! You're really engaged ?" JungKook ask and I nod

"Wow, I can't believe you didn't even tell us"

"I told you about the arranged marriage"

"But you didn't say if you agreed or not. I though you were going to refuse"

"Actually... I'm not really engaged" I said scratching my neck and he raise his eyebrow "We refused to be engaged and instead we agreed to date for a year"

"You refused ?! Wow I didn't know you had the guts to refuse"

"You just told me you though I would refuse..." I said rolling my eyes

"Yeah I though, but I never really believed in it. You never refused something to your parents want since-"

"Yeah I know" I said cutting him off.

"You're dumb" Jimin said and I glare at him "I mean, the girl is hot, why would you refuse to spend the rest of your life with her. She's way better than all the girls here"

"I didn't refused. She did" I said and they laugh

"Did-.... Did that girl... really... rejected you ?... OMG It's so funny !.... Kim Taehyung being rejected !" he said between laugh

"Shut up" I said and he shake his head

"Do you know that it's the main topic today ?"

"Yeah, every time I walk in front of someone, they all stare at me and whispered something to the person near them... It's so annoying... Beside, I don't know why but the girls seems to keep a distance between us. They all stopped flirting with me. It's so strange"

"Dude, it's normal they're doing that !"

"Why ?"

"They're scared"

"Of what ?"

"You're the son of the owner of the best college in Seoul. This is the college where everyone want to go. Now that they all think you're engaged, they're backing off because if your dad walk in the hallways and caught you flirting with a girl, the girl will be expelled at the second"

"But my dad never care about those things. He saw me before flirting with girls here and there without expelling them"

"Yeah but this time it's more important since you're engaged. He would think that you're cheating on a girl that he chose to be his daughter in law"

"Yeah you're right" I said then I start to eat my food.

"Man, there is a thing I don't understand..." Jimin said and I lift my head "If you're only dating, why did you said she was your fiancé ?"

"Because it was the only way to make the guys move. If I ever said that she's my girlfriend, he wouldn't budge"

"Hum... No I think it's something else. If you told them you're her boyfriend they'll still back off because one of them recognized you and was scared of you"

"So what if the reason then" I said deadly

"You're jealous"

"What ?!" I said choking my food

"You're jealous, it's obvious"

"I'm not"

"Yes you are. Even when her friend came you insisted to say that you're her fiancé even if he did nothing"

"I'm not !"

"Whatever you say... but I know I'm right"

"So... why did she refused the arranged marriage ?" JungKook ask changing the subject

"I don't know"

"But there must be a reason right ? No one never reject The Kim Taehyung"

"Yeah... There must be a reason but I have no idea what is it..."

I don't know why she agreed the contract to date me if she was so determinate to refuse at the beginning. The last time she told me it was because she wanted her apartment back but I have no idea why she didn't live with her parents and I have to found the reason...

I'm sorry the chapter wasn't like I've planned. Like I said on my profil, I knew what I would update, word by word but I didn't have time to write it and when I finally started to write this chapter, I forgot my idea and it didn't came out like I wanted...
