Chapter 6

The sun creeped through the gap In the blinds. Shining in my room, lighting up the walls. I turned over. I didn't want to wake up

"Happy birthday Alice!"

I jumped up, out of the covers and the bed. I fell on the floor.

"What's happening?" I looked up and saw mum and Lotty standing on the other side of the bed with a bag each. "Ugh my birthday"

"Come on, get up! It's your birthday!"

Lotty came running over, she tugged at my arm until I gave up and stood up. Lotty held a purple bag. No too big. "What you got there Lotty?"

"It's for you" she smiled and handed me the purple bag. I peered inside and saw a blue box. I reached and and took the box out.

"What could it be?"

"Don't shake it" she said quickly

"Oh okay. I lifted the lid and saw the most beautiful necklace and matching earrings. "The ones from the shop? How did you know" I held the box up so the light bounced off them. They shimmered in the light. So beautiful. I pulled Lotty in for a hug and kissed her head.

"ThankYou Lotty and Mum" I couldn't stop smiling

"We aren't done yet" Mum said while walking over. She handed me a red bag. Quite big. I knew what this was. Inside the bag was a box. I took the box out and placed the bag on the floor. I tear ran down my face.

"Mum I know what it is" I jumped up and hugged her tight "ThankYou" I whispered in her ear. I kissed her cheek and sat back down.

I looked down and quickly pulled down the sleeves of my shirt. Noticing the cuts were visible. So far this birthday has been okay.

"Come on we have your birthday pancakes down stairs waiting for you" mum took Lottys hand as they walked out of my room shutting the door.

I took some scissors and cut open the box. I knew it was my camera. Inside was a black camera. I took it out of the box and held it with precautions. Wow my own camera. I took the charger from the box aswell and put the camera on charge. I also took the earrings from the blue box and went over to the mirror to put them in. They looked stunning. They shinned in the light.

I threw on a dressing gown and went downstairs. On the table was a stack of pancakes. Lotty already had some on her plate. I sat opposite mum and poured sugar and lemon on the pancake. Some reason birthday pancakes always taste better.

"Mum these taste great" I said while rolling my pancake up

"ThankYou darlin' Lotty helped to make them too"

"What did you put in them?" I said while poking the pancake with the knife

"Nothing I swear!" She said while giggling to herself

After breakfast I had the family phoning me up. First it was Grandad and nanny. They spend so much time on the phone it's unbelievable! Then I had my auntie and uncle ring, I don't see much of them anymore so a phone call is nice. After all my phone calls I had a few more presents to open. Mostly it was money inside cards, I'm not complaining means I can buy more band merch.

"Is it okay if I go up to my room for a bit?"

"Sure, be back down for dinner"

I ran up those stairs. I wanted to try out this camera. I shut the door and walked over to the camera. I wonder where I could record. Lighting. The window seems like an okay idea. Or on my desk. Right camera.

I took the camera off charge and turned it on. There were so many effects. I took a photo of my bed. Don't know why the bed. I did that multiple times. Wow this is easy! I could get used to using this.

Now Alice has the camera. Now she can start YouTube
Which means Dan and Phil will come Into the picture 😏
