Chapter 2

In the Uzumaki Residence

A five years old Boruto slowly woke up in the middle of the night his eyes soaked in tears wiping them off as the cold wind continues to enter from the open window then he slowly stood up 'Why is it so cold? Where am I? Why is it so dark? Am I dead? Omg did big bro Ancestor messed up? Is this the afterlife?' Boruto asked himself

Then he panicked running around just to escape the darkness till he tripped 'Oouuuch!! I guess I am not dead yet or else it would not hurt like this ,atleast I am alive heheh ooouuuch!!' Boruto told himself as he slowly sat down and went to his mindscape intending to ask Momoshiki as to where did he brought him but no one is answering to be accurate no one is there he can not feel his presence more like he is gone

'god damn it big bro ancestor!! Where did you go!?' Boruto asked himself then after trying so many methods to communicate with Momoshiki 'shit nothing is working after trying everything' Boruto said to himself a hint of panick in his face with no luck

Boruto went back to reality then realized he was sitting on a soft bed with a familiar scent he slowly got up again it was so dark that he can not see properly then he walked slowly near the walls trying to feel where was the switch for the lights was located accidentally he found it near the door

He soon realize that he was at his house specifically his bedroom then he wondered why does everything looked taller and scratched his head and look down 'My kāma seal!! its gone!!!! Oh shit never mind that what happened to my hands? its so small' Boruto asked himself as he quickly ran to his closet where a full body mirror could be found

Aaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

he screamed out of disbelief 'Not just my hands even my feet my height my whole body shrunk that of a kids body??!!' Boruto said to himself in disbelief

Meanwhile at Naruto and Hinatas room

Naruto and Hinata were sleeping soundly in their own room with a night light on then they heard a scream

years of being a ninja honed them to be sensitive even if they are asleep and made them fully awake and became alert they looked at each other it made them cautious then nod in agreement like they know what the other person wants to say

'Byakugan' Hinata intoned as she looked where the sound came from then looked at her husband already made the hand seals for a shadow clone just waiting for her signal "Did you find anything?" Naruto asked Hinata "No, but it seems like little Boruto is having a nightmare "said Hinata with a worried expression

Then they both got up and went to Borutos room Himawari in the next room also woke up from her brothers scream as she opened the door she saw her parents going to her brothers room and followed them

Back at Borutos room

Boruto still can not believe what happened to his body running his fingers across his youthful face in amazement the scar that should run across his right brow to his right eye is gone then he sensed some very familiar chakra signatures coming to his room suddenly his father and mother entered his room

"Boruto!? Whats the problem!? are you alright!? We heard you scream, Did you had a nightmare?" Hinata asked relentlessly with a worried expression

Boruto surprised he did not shrunk but he actually went back to the past still shocked to see his parents alive and well again as tears began to fall he can not say that he came from the future it would just complicate things and would just think of him as lying who would believe in him time traveling

Good thing that his mother gave him an idea "Kaasan!!!! i had a horrible nightmare" said Boruto with such emotion surging from within he ran to his parents and hug them so tight and cried even more while recalling how they were brutally killed then Himawari entered the room "Do not cry big brother, What did you dreamt of?" Himawari asked out of concern and curiousity

"Well it was a long" said Boruto as he was reminded what happened in his previous timeline and how one by one the people he cared for and close to him perished as tears continued to fall from his eyes "dream and all that I cared for and close to me specially you guys were killed brutally infront of me and I can not do anything I am so powerless" Boruto added

He told them what happened in a very detailed manner and referred it as his dream in order to avoid his parents feeling anxious he left out the Otsutsuki part and just referred them as bad people imagine going to war and your son not even witnessing what happened but knows about the Otsutsuki would make them feel anxious

"Do not worry Kaasan, Tousan and little Himawari are here we will not go anywhere" Said Hinata "I just missed you all so much!! it feels like its been so long since I saw you in that 'dream' " said Boruto "Thats right Oniichan if there is someone whose gonna bully you or Kaasan or Tousan they have to go through me first so no one can hurt you" said Himawari

As she hugged his brother from his back while Boruto still hugging both of his parents
"In order for that nightmare of being powerless disappears you should train seriously starting from now on " said Naruto "Yes! Tousan that is what I am planning to do" said Boruto

"That is good so go back to sleep , And wake up early tomorrow do not forget you have morning practice at the Hyuga compound" said Hinata "ever since you started to train at three years old you are slowly improving so do not slack off if you continue your progress that dream of yours will not happen" she added after Boruto calmed down Naruto and Hinata tucked Boruto to sleep "Goodnight Kaasan Tousan and little Hima" said Boruto as he close his eyes "Goodnight Oniichan" said Himawari "Goodnight Boruto" said Naruto and Hinata in unison Naruto turned off the light in Borutos room then closed the door and went back to their own room and returned to sleep
