Hopes and Dreams

You flash your gaudy eyes
Within my viewing,
Vibrant butterflies
Here and gone as I'm spewing.

I thought I'd conquered and slain your heart.
Then you awake with a burning spark in mine,
Making doubts smolder and burn apart.
So you savagely wait while I unwind.

Tasting what's not ours to be
Is the sharpest pain, I will note.
So I shut my mouth tightly,
But you shove yourself down my throat.

Cravings stab my stomach, and I drink.
For once you satisfy,
Just to shoot your venom up my veins.
So here's my last goodbye.
