Blood Love

Chapter 1: New beginning

She looks up from her novel, the book now losing her interest.

She looks beside her as her boyfriend ash drives.

They have been driving for hours now, unsure of where there new home will be.

She gazes out the window hoping her future brightens up. But as she does so she realizes that where they were is unrecognizable.

"I cant believe we are fucking lost!" Ash complains.

She sighs already knowing how badly his temper becomes.

"Babe where the fuck is the map!?"

She sighs once more.

"I dont know"

He becomes frustrated.

"Well arent you going to look for it!?"

She unbuckled herself now looking in the backseat for the map.

The backseat is a mess, their luggage everywhere. Bottles, cans and cigarette boxes all over the floor.

She finally finds it and signals directions to her boyfriend.
He takes the directions.

And as hours go by they arrive at a wooded town. Beautifully built traditional homes and cabins.

Ash becomes angry and annoyed from driving. He stops at a near by gas station. After he parks they both exit.

Ash doesnt say a word, rather he enters the building.

She stands there sighing, and as she does so shes approached by a young man.

He smiles calming speaking in a polite tone.

"Howdy!"

She smiles back becoming nervous.

"Hi"

She moves her hands behind her back hoping ash doesnt get angry from her speaking with a stranger.

The stranger continues to smile.

"Say what's your name young lady?"

She clears her throat.

"My name is Marlene"

"What a beautiful name! Are you new here?"

"Yes, although I believe we are just passing through"

The man sighs in disappointment.

"That's a shame usually folk like it here"

Confused Marlene asks the man.

"What do you mean they like it here sir?"

" alot of folk move here, we have cheap homes and alot of shops and everything else in between!"

Marlene smiles.

"Really sir?"

" ah yes! Usually alot of folk move here for the view and the free fishing spots!"

Marlene becomes slightly impressed.

" free fishing spots!?"

The man nods.

"My boyfriend loves fishing!"

She smiles genuinely.

The man smiles along with her seeing her boyfriend ash exit the building.

"Is that your boyfriend?"

She turns seeing him aswell.

"Y-yes"

The man frowns looking concerned.

"I dont mean to offend you ma'am but. You deserve better than him."

The man walks away politely waving. Marlene waves back not sure of what he means by what he said.

Ash comes closer to Marlene, angry.

"Who the fuck is he?"

She stutters.

"H-Hes just a man welcoming us into town. d-d-dont worry about it."

He rolls his eyes.

"Really?"

She nods.

"He told me the homes here are cheap and that theres alot of free fishing spots."

Ash smiles.

"Free fishing spots!?"

She nods once more.

Ash becomes pumped.

"Fuck yeah! Let's move here!

Marlene becomes surprised.

"R-really?"

Ash nods.

"Come on! get in the car we are gonna find a real estate"

Marlene nods.

The both enter the car, driving off into the main street of the town.

Not even hours later the real estate agent shows them a beautiful neighborhood.

The neighborhood had beautiful trees, nicely decorated homes and a few parks. Ash looks around as he sees a lake right behind the homes of the neighborhood.

The real estate agent smiles.

She signals Marlene and ash to a beautiful traditional small home.

"This is one of the traditional homes here in Westwood."

Ash and Marlene continue to listen the real estate agent.

"This home has 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, a large kitchen and living room. It even has a trail in the back that leads to the lake."

Ash smiles excitedly.

"I heard you can fish for free it that true!?"

The real estate agent smiles.

"Why yes, you can. You can even freely hike in the woods and climb up mountains here."

Ash becomes more excited.

"No fucking way!"

The agent continues to smile.

"There is even a shop here few blocks away to buy supplies to go hiking, climbing and fishing.

Ash smiles more.

"You sold me lady, I'm buying this house."

"Already? But I'd didnt even give you a tour inside?"

"It dont matter I'm putting a downpayment on this house"

The agent nods.

"Alright. Come with me to my office and I'll get you settled."

Ash nods in agreement.

He begins to follow the agent to their cars, Marlene follows, however she sees a young handsome man a few houses away looking at her from his window.
She smiles waving. But the man closes the curtain not responding to her wave.

She whispers to herself.

"Weird"
