After that night Marlene wasnt allowed to leave the house without ash's permission. He took her home when she got off of work, so she wasnt able to go over to evlan's.
She cleaned the entire house like ash wanted but she was so hungry. She looked in the cabinets and the fridge searching for food. Nothing.
She sat back remembering she forgot to go grocery shopping.
She takes out her phone and texts ash.
Marlene: babe is it ok if I go grocery shopping?
Ash replies instantly.
Ash: you aren't going anywhere until I go home.
Marlene: but the store closes in 3 hours, you won't be home till 12.
Ash: to bad, your going to have to wait till tomorrow to go with me.
She stops texting him as her stomach growls louder.
Frustrated she curls up in a ball on the kitchen floor. She cries feeling worthless and unable to do anything.
She looks up seeing evlan's face peeking in from the window.
Excited she gets up running to the door unlocking it.
Marlene: evlan! Wh-what are you doing here!?
Evlan: I figured you would be hungry so brought you some food.
Evlan kindly hands over Asian food. Marlene takes it instantly as evlan comes inside.
Marlene: thank you thank you thank you!!
Evlan smiles.
Evlan: your welcome! Now eat up!
She does just that.
And as 30 minutes go by they start talking.
Eventually they make out.
Soon however Marlene and evlan lose track of time, as ash finally arrives home. Marlene sees him pull up.
Marlene: shit! Evlan go hide!!!
Evlan nods quickly running to go hide.
Marlene sits on the couch going through her phone. Ash enters.
Ash: babe?
She looks at him slightly paranoid.
Marlene: yes?
Ash: did you order when I wasnt here?
Marlene looks down on the living room table seeing the bag of chinese food.
Marlene: y-yes.
Ash sighs.
Marlene stands up instantly.
Marlene: baby I didnt leave the house okay! I- I got hungry and ordered some food! If you want you can have some!
Ash looks at her and the food.
He looks back at her sighing.
Ash: I'm not mad.
Marlene: you... you arent?
Ash: no, but I sense that someone is here in the house.
Marlene: baby theres no one here honest!
Ash begins to look around in the house. As 30 minutes go by he enters the living room again.
Marlene: see anyone?
Ash: no.
Marlene: you see I told you.
Ash looks down at the ground and back at her. As he looks at her he notices a bruise on her neck.
Ash: what the fuck happened to your neck?
Marlene: oh, this?
Ash nods.
Marlene: you did this. You dont remember?
Ash shakes his head.
Ash: no, I I'd never hurt you babe.
Marlene becomes confused as a bottle of pills fall out of his pocket.
She looks at it in confusion as ash kicks it under the couch.
Ash: I'm going to get some rest okay?
She nods.
Ash: you should got to bed also, its late.
Marlene: okay.
