Evlan: before we do anything. I need to ask some questions.
Marlene already comfortable in the bed she looks at him ready to answer his questions.
Evlan: is your Boyfriend the one that beats you?
Marlene: yes.
Evlan becomes angry and Marlene notices this.
Marlene: it's okay though, I'm already used to it.
Evlan: are you serious? You think its normal?
Without evlan and Marlene knowing, esmeralda evlan's mother was eavesdropping.
Evlan: no man is supposed to hit you.
Marlene: but.. it's all I've known evlan. My father, my mother. They abused me also.
Evlan: your parents are just as sick as your disgrace of a Boyfriend.
Marlene goes quiet.
Evlan: you deserve better than that. You know that right?
She nods realizing that all she felt was pain in her life.
She frowns looking down.
Evlan lifts her chin.
Evlan: your beautiful, talented. Amazing just as you are. You dont need a man like ash in your life. The love he gives you, isnt love.
Marlene: then what is it that hes giving me?
Evlan: I'm not sure but, what I do know is, it's not a good thing.
Marlene thinks.
Evlan: I know cheating on him with me is wrong. But answer me this. Is losing him really worth it? For your health and safety?
Marlene: yes.
Evlan: then what's wrong with doing it. Hes been doing it for 3 years straight with you, not giving a fuck. He doesnt care, he never will. And honestly to be honest with you. Him finding out that you are doing it hes going to let you go. Not the other way around.
Marlene: I'm to scared to break up with him anyway.
Evlan: and I know you are, that's why you give him a reason to break up with you.
Marlene looks at evlan smiling.
Evlan: do you want to get rid of him?
Marlene: yes.
Evlan: want to live happy, living your fullest?
Marlene nods.
Evlan: then join me, let me show you what true love is.
Marlene: but.
Evlan goes quiet listening.
Marlene: what if he finds out and wants to do something worse?
Evlan: then I'll be there, to protect you.
Esmeralda becomes in shock. Remembering those exact words from her husband. Years ago..
