The footsteps of Jaemi and Taehyung echoed through the corridors. Jaemi's heart running a marathon. What happened just a minute ago? They were shaking hands and then she got that feeling. That weird feeling you get when something is about to happen. Oh,just stop overthinking. This might be nothing...or this might be everything. Whatever, Jaemi thought. Getting this thought rid of her mind, Jaemi stops in front of their classroom.

"This is our classroom. " She said to Taehyung, but it seems like he's too busy staring at the class board on the door which was labled 3-E.

Shrugging, Jaemi pushes open the door to enter the classroom. Taehyung follows behind her and stands in front of the classroom while Jaemi takes her seat. The class became silent the moment these two entered, their full attention now on Taehyung.

"Oh good that you're here." Mr. Lee says, adjusting his glasses. "This is your new classmate everyone. Please introduce yourself. "

"I'm Kim Taehyung. Pleased to meet you all. I hope we can be good friends." He says, clearing his throat right after.

In response, the class said nothing. Absolutely nothing. The loud silence not being comfortable for Jungkook, he spoke up.

"We will!" He beams, giving Taehyung a big thumbs up. Followed by Jimin swiftly walking towards Taehyung and helping him sit somewhere. The class, now totally unaware of Taehyung's existence, started chatting again, except this particular group of friends who helped him adjust in the new surroundings.

Taking a seat behind Jaemi, Taehyung sat down, feeling comfortable. What just happened a few minutes ago was embarrassing. Really embarrassing. But still he managed to not get discomposed.

The five friends introduced themselves to Taehyung. Nayeon, being who she was, started blabbing about God knows what, Jimin started to tell him how the school works, Jungkook started boasting about how all the girls swoon over him, and Yoongi not giving a damn about anything. Jaemi just sat there and watched as her friends tried to make a new amigo.

It was good that they were trying to befriend someone but Jaemi didn't wanna even try. She's good with the friends she has right now and doesn't need anyone else. So, she turned to face the board again, sighing. Clutching the locket that was dangling from her neck, she opened it up. A wave of memories rushed back to her. The person inside her locket was no more. Jaemi won't be able to see her precious smile again, she won't be able to listen her melodic laugh, she won't be able to...see her.

The thought itself made Jaemi's skin crawl. It's been one year. A whole year. But she still can't move on. She still can't help but imagine what if she was still here, what if she was still breathing, what if...she was alive.

Breathing becoming irregular now, Jaemi excused herself to go to the restroom. It was happening again. She didn't have her pills with her but she knew the drill.

Breathe in, breathe out.

Grasping onto the sink, Jaemi starts to breathe slowly. Don't think about it, don't. The memories taking the best of her, she starts breathing heavily. Every vein on her neck could be seen.

No, no, no Jaemi! You can't just give in. You have to be strong. BE. STRONG.

She started to breathe regularly again. Falling to her knees, she sighs in relief. She shook her head to get rid of all the thoughts. She shouldn't think about last summer. Just move on already, Jae! She thought. But it's so hard to. Closing her eyes, Jaemi sits down comfortably. She runs a hand through her brown locks. Whatever happens, she will forget about the incident.
