17 Hours Until Virus Outbreak
Port Mafia Building"Fire! Don't let them get close!" Firearms were directed towards the members of the Agency who came to attack the Port Mafia head on. Kenji received all of the bullets while marveling at the strength of their enemies. However, he will not give them the satisfaction. Activating his ability, he detached the floor from the ground and threw the mafia from their path.
"Now! Charge!" Yosano directed as they entered the building's premises.
Outside, Chuuya received news that the Agency has infiltrated their base. He ordered them to defend the boss with their life. It was when he noticed a figure before him. The detective of the Agency stood there with a smile full of mirth. He could not believe that their enemy will send somebody so weak against him. Ranpo smirked and agreed with his statement. He was not strong like him, but with a trick on his sleeve, it will be easy to take him out of the game for the mean time.
Chuuya wanted no time wasted for such a weakling like him, but Ranpo's next words aggravated him.
"Didn't you lose to Dazai before?" Ranpo teased.
"Why don't you try getting crushed by gravity!?" Chuuya retorted. The detective simple snickered at his words. The redhead dashed towards him and aimed a strong punch to his face. However, Ranpo opened a book, and it sucked Chuuya's arm. The detective glanced at him and grinned darkly.
"I'll see you on the other side, Mr. Fancy Hat." He murmured. The book engulfed him as well. When they were gone, the creator of the book, Edgar Allan Poe, and his companion appeared to collect it. Hinatsuri tried to keep her laughter from bursting out of her lips but failed to do so. Aggravating the redhead was the easiest thing to do especially when Dazai was involved. It reminded her how simple-minded he was despite his strong ability. Grabbing the book, she immediately handed it to the owner and apologized for using it as a bait.
Ranpo asked Poe to make him another novel and naively thought that they will be doing another challenge. The man wrote it as quickly and cleverly as he could only for his rival to use it against the Mafia. Looking at the bright side, those two humans might die inside. It, however, worried him about his next course of action if his rival were to die. Hinatsuri noticed his troubled face and assured him that no one will be killed. Ranpo will easily solve it while Chuuya might just do something ridiculous to get himself out. He was the type of person who acts before thinking after all.
Nodding, Poe heaved out a relieved sigh. Hinatsuri turned to him and inquired if the files she gave him were delivered to the detective as planned. Poe guaranteed that every page was there. It did not occur to him that she could be so mysterious and cunning at the same time. Her plans estranged him. Every pieces were just as she expected them to be. In a way, she was like Dazai and Fyodor, but not at the same time.
The teen grinned at his words. It was only a matter of time until her brother takes action through the help of that man.
Port Mafia
Akutagawa, Higuchi and KyoukaThe Mafia were in disarray after hearing that the Agency members were able to take down a few of their crew. Higuchi heard the commotion but continued on her way towards Akutagawa. While walking, she noticed a stuff toy resting on the ground. A hand suddenly clamped her mouth and dragged her to an empty room. She struggled against her captor's hold, but a katana made its way to her throat. Kyouka appeared from the shadows and demanded the code for the boss' room or she will pay with her life.
Higuchi scoffed at her demands. The girl might have switched sides and changed, but not her killings. The black-haired teen secured her safety as long as she spills the information she needed. A limb or two should suffice as threat. The blonde smirked.
