"Another strategy proposal, Miss Alcott?" Fitzgerald snatched the stack of papers from Louisa's hand and skimmed through them. He was amazed by how fast she could come up with intellectual analyses but not how much she had to write. Still, every plan she made had been helpful to the Guild.
Hearing his comment, Louisa wished to get her papers back and revise them, but her boss had already stood up and was about to exit the room. He assured her that despite the number of pages, he will read them along the way. Before leaving, he asked for the summary of their next move. Louisa stopped in her tracks and warned Fitzgerald. Their next move was not something to be taken lightly. It was far too risky especially for him. Fitzgerald smirked.
"The Guild's base is where I happen to be. Isn't that right?" He left bound to wherever her strategy will take her.
Armed Detective Agency
Atsushi and Kōyō"Hmm? How unusual for you to have come alone, lad." Kōyō spoke as she watched the distress on the teen's face. Atsushi was unsure how he will approach her especially when she had a dangerous ability. She assured her that Dazai confined her everything.
"So what did you come here for? To kill me? Or maybe find an escape because you made a blunder?" She teased. Noticing his reaction, she raised an eyebrow at him. She only half-expected her words to be true. Atsushi let out a frustrated sigh. His memory of hurting Haruno and Naomi was still fresh in his mind. Kōyō diverted to another topic and inquired if it was all right for him to be at such place when there was still war.
"Dazai-san is currently negotiating with a government agent." He replied. Kōyō hummed in understanding before smirking. She let out Golden Snow and fainted a threat by killing him. Seeing him on guard, she chuckled and turned off her ability. The deal between Dazai and her was still on.
"Kyouka is about to massacre everybody in this war. Our deal was for me to stay out while he searches for her. As soon as we could per se because if she did it, then her dream of living in the light will shatter. Boy, save Kyouka." Her eyes spoke the truth. Atsushi accepted her request. He will not let any of his friends fall down that deadly road.
Parking Lot
Ango and Dazai"Samu-nii, I'm cooking stew tonight. Whoever you're meeting with, please don't do anything reckless. That Hina, she used her ability again." He snapped his phone off and turned to the figure walking towards him. A man in brown suit stepped in and pushed his glasses upwards as he looked at the familiar figure in front of him.
"It has been several years, Dazai-kun. That gave me quite a shock when you contacted me." Ango greeted. Dazai smiled and cheerfully returned his greeting, walking towards him as if aiming for a hug. It was until then that he grabbed the pistol behind the government agent and aimed it at him. The brunette also felt the pistol and katana on him.
"You've got some nerve to come. Did you really think that I have forgiven you, Ango?" His eyes continuously darkened as his memories arose. Ango glared and reminded him that he owed him a favor after cleaning his ledger. The brunette smiled and dropped his gun back to him. It was not even loaded to begin him, so how would it be a threat to him.
Dazai strode over to his car and observed how decent it was. Without hesitation, he turned to him and asked for a small talk on their way to their destination.
While driving towards the cafe, the two discussed about how the government was turning a blind eye on the Guild's actions. It was evident with how they let the building disappear, wage wars between ability organizations and put Yokohama at risk. Ango denied his claims and told him that the government had been doing its best not to trample on them. Each member of the Guild had their own position outside it. They held prominent positions not limited to just that in North America.
