After the opening, the Amity Colosseum is still floating high amid the cheers of in excited audience as the two opposing the cheers of an excited audience as the two opposing pairs of partners for the match, the grinning Mercury Black and Y/n Rose against a confident Coco Adel and meditating Yatsuhashi Daichi, wait in the center of the stadium of the holographic roulette to pick the field.

Port: *along with the countdown behind the combatants* "Three, two, one, begin!"

Instead of charging forward, Y/n and Mercury slowly walks back into the tall grass and disappear behind the leaves. Coco and Yatsuhashi smile at each other before the leader pops out her Gatling gun and begins mowing down the fields as the crowds of sunglasses-wearing fans roar their approval, even when bullets nearly hits them from the other side of the forcefield. Coco lets up as she and Yatsuhashi realize the two opponents aren't in the plains section anymore.

Coco: "Hey! How the?!"

Blake: *as she and the rest of team RWBY look in shock* "Look out!"

Mercury drops from the sky, aiming for Coco, but Yatsuhashi pushes her out of the way blocks the boots with his blade, pushing him back. Coco opens fire at him again, though Mercury is able to outrun each shot.

Sun: *also in the bleachers with SSSN* "He's good!"

Scarlet "Yeah, but where's the other guy?"

Mercury kept mobile distracting Coco, when suddenly Y/n leaps out of the ground and pulls out Obsidian. With precision and accuracy he open fires at Coco's weapon and jams the firing holes in Coco's weapon jamming it and cause it to malfunction.

Coco: "HEY! THAT WAS MY GUN!"

Y/n: "Aw...send me the bill." *He suddenly kicks Coco sending her flying he looks over to Mercury who was fighting off and dodging Yatsuhashi's blade. Y/n pulls out his sheathed Final Light.* "MERCURY THINK FAST!"

Y/n throws Final Light to Mercury, which he catches and as he channels his aura threw the blade. He draws out his Final Light and a sword made like liquid metal is molded to form the blade. He looks at the sword confused.
