Chapter 48: A Father and Son Talk

Y/n P.o.V:

Screams fill the air as Y/n is currently running with the crowds of Faunus' and Humans. The lone teens turns to look in horror to see the buildings on fire and in ruins. Mutations and Grimm are seen running down the streets killing off the people. Y/n looked around in horror as suddenly as he was about to run, he couldn't. He looked down and noticed chains wrapped around his arms and legs.

The chains pinned him into a wall preventing him from moving. Y/n struggled to get free as he looked on to see a figure walking to him, only to reveal it to be Cameran Ironwood.

Y/n: "Cameran!" *Cameran smiled insanely as suddenly familiar screams could be heard, Y/n looked up and his eyes widen in pure horror* "No.."

The camera turns to reveal..all his friends from Beacon, his family...and his team being tortured alive by the grimms themselves. The worst being Neo, who screamed and beg for Y/n to save her as she was being raped. Y/n merely struggled to run to her as Cameran began to laugh maniacally.

Y/n:  *screams out* "NOOOOO!!!"

3rd P.o.V:

Y/n rises up from his bedroom provided by the Hamato family, he breathing heavily as he frantically look around in horror before sighing and getting up from his bed. He looked to his claws as they were shaking from his nightmare.

Y/n:*thinking* 'Damn it...' *looks around to see Neo was not beside him slowly remembering he requested to be alone for the night. He sighs and walks out of the room. He closes the door behind him and  begin to walk away from the lair to thru the sewers til he thought he was alone. He slowly sat down besides the wall.

Slowly images of Neo's, Mercury's and Emerald's screams fill the young teen's head. It soon becoming too much for the boy, as he laid down on the ground as tears ran down his face, trying to hold back all his emotions back. 

Y/n: *dark voice in Y/n's head to himself* 'It's your fault...they are gone.... It's your fault that we are stuck in this mess...it's your fault..that they died.."

Nearby Qrow was watching his son curled up in a ball crying in the distance. Without a moment of hesitation, Qrow walks over to Y/n, which catches the boy's attention.

Qrow: *calm and comforting tone* "Hey ya..Y/n, it's really late right now.."

Y/n: *rubs his eyes and the tears away* "Sorry...I didn't mean to wake you up.."

Qrow: "It's alright I'm not mad.." *sits down next to him as he pulls out his flask* "You alright kid?"

Y/n: "...Honestly..I don't know.."

Qrow: "Kid if it's about that bucket head guy.."

Y/n: "N-no it's not that...it's something else.."

Qrow: "Oh?...Want to talk about it?"

Y/n: *sighs* "..I guess...It's just...I had a nightmare..Remnant was in ruins and flames, grimm and mutants swarming people...I was chained down and forced to watch .. everyone...being tortured alive...and what's worse I was powerless...to do anything....It's because of me..that they are dead......"

Qrow: *Pulls Y/n close it him comforting* "It's okay...it was just a nightmare-"

Y/n: "It was...so real...they're screams...and the..blood....."

Qrow: "Y/n...it's okay...I know how you feel.." *Y/n looks over to his father, who sighs* "That day....when I thought I lost you that day.... it felt like I was so powerless, that it was all my failed you. I blamed myself and Ironwood for what happened to you.... I would have nightmares.. of what happened to you that scene always replayed in my head every single day.." *looks over to Y/n as tears were running down the old birds face* "It was only what you said to me the day..we were reunited..that healed me."

(Flashback to Chapter 3)

Y/n: "I know you it to protect me.... because of your semblance right...? *Qrow nods* I don't blame you for not telling me I'm your son...and I don't blame you for my death... *Qrow looks at Y/n with relief and surprise* You did your best to same me.." *hugs Qrow tears running down both their face* "I will never hate you... I love you Dad.."

(Flashback end)

Qrow: "I was finally able to move on...thanks to you Y/n." *Looks over to Y/n* "...You may think you have to do things alone..and take on the pain..for everyone's sake..but that's how that works... You are not alone..Y/n, you have your family, friends.... who still care for you, and if even if the world would turn on you..just know this... No matter what happens...I will always be there for you...because you are my son, and I will always love you..." *Y/n slowly began to shake uncontrollably as tears ran down his face. Qrow pulls his son close  to him to a tight hug rubbing his back to comfort him* "Just let it all out Y/n....just let it out..."

Y/n slowly began to cry hugging his dad letting all the pain inside him all out. He could feel all the negative voices in his head slowly wash away from his body. Qrow stayed with his son embracing him close and not letting him go till soon after 30 minutes later, Qrow is seen carrying a passed out Y/n over his back, Qrow looked over to his son as a memory of him giving a smiling 4 year old Y/n a piggy back ride which causes Qrow to smile a bit as he soon makes it back to the lair and lays him down on the couch. The old dusty bird yawns loudly as he sits down beside the couch before falling asleep not leaving his son's side.
