Hungary rubbed his eye tiredly and stared out of his window, sitting on the windowsill like he's glued there. He honestly felt like he was, not being able to get up no matter how much he tried. His eyes felt sore and tired from looking at the moon for almost an hour now.
'Why?' You might be asking.
He himself has no idea. All he knew is that once he sat down and looked at the moon he couldn't get away.
Some might even think he has some sort of connection to the moon. But that's bullshit.
The actual reason was unknown to him, he just wanted to look out of the window to check if his car is still there, but once he saw the huge glowing thing in the dark sky he just couldn't seem to stop looking at it.
Now that he's thinking about it he remembers watching the moon with his lover. Maybe the dim light of it reminds him of simpler times where he didn't have to focus on forgetting someone who was so important to him.
Hungary would've called out for Austria to make him a coffee, but he wasn't here anymore either. He felt like everyone is leaving him alone at a time where he needs them the most.
If that isn't enough everything else is getting more stressful than before too. He felt helpless, weak, exhausted and sick.
He kept staring at the moon, his head starting to hurt from looking up for so long. The Hungarian slowly lowered his head, leaning it against the cold window.
He closed his eyes slowly as he felt the darkness engulf him and lull him to a dreamless sleep.
Hungary woke up in the morning by the doorbell ringing loudly. He peeled his eyes open, rubbing his aching head with an annoyed groan.
He slowly slid away from the window, shuffling downstairs to open the door for the crazy person who was ringing the doorbell so aggressively.
"Grüß gott, Ungarn!" Austria's cheerful voice rang through the quiet house, making Hungary flinch slightly.
Hungary rubbed his eye, stifling a yawn, "h-helló" he whispered quietly, stepping out of the doorway to let his friend in.
Austria wasted no time and stepped inside, looking around in wonder. "I know it's still empty and all but I really like your new home!" He said happily, walking further inside.
"Yeah... it's okay" Hungary mumbled and kicked an empty beer bottle out of his way, watching it roll around. "What brings you here?" He asked with his naturally cold and low voice, tucking his hands away into his pockets.
"I just wanted to see how you're doing is all" Austria hummed and turned to Hungary with a smile, "and I brought you some things, mostly snacks, and your razor that I accidentally packed in" he added with an awkward chuckle, handing Hungary a bag he was holding.
The taller nodded slowly and took the bag, peeking inside. "Don't you wanna stay the night? Technically I'm only finished setting up my-" Hungary got cut off by Austria shaking his head and pressing his pointer finger to Hungary's lips.
"I sadly can't do that. I would most definitely 'cause there's nothing better than hanging out with you but I have so much to do" Austria said calmly and gave Hungary a sad smile to which the taller only huffed.
