Cobra again
It felt like Cobra had been waiting for Spooz for hours. Her eyes began to feel weighted as she fought to stay awake. He's probably not coming... I think it's past midnight and I don't even think he is brave enough to travel at this hour... Moving away from the window, Cobra climbed into her sleeping bag that was sheltered in the corner of the room. She fell asleep quickly once she couldn't hear any more zombies nearby.

.
Cobra woke up with a start as the sound of footsteps on the wooden stairs became louder. She sat up when she saw the silhouette of a figure walking into the room.
"Relax Foolish, it's just me." Said a familiar voice.
Sighing in relief Cobra slipped out of her sleeping bag and sat on her knees, "You know you can just call me Cobra right?"
"Yeah but Foolish seems to match you better. Since you were foolish enough to go into that store by yourself." Spooz sat down across from her under the window seal. "I never did get a thank you for saving your life... twice"
"Oh, uh... thank you. I would've died out there..."
"So what were you doing in a zombie-infested Walmart? I know you're not stupid enough to go in there and just to get food." He doesn't know anything about me.
"Er... I uh... went in there just to kill a zombie... I've never killed one before and I thought you'd think I was pathetic for never killing one,.." I admitted staring down at the floor.
"I don't think you're pathetic. Some of the toughest people I knew didn't survive at all, you've managed so far. And the fact that you've never killed a zombie is somewhat a good thing. They might seem like brainless rotting pieces of flesh but they're getting smarter, eventually, they're going to find out the easiest way to kill humans so it's best to stay away from them at all costs." Spooz explained. Taking in all he had said Cobra then felt stupid for letting her emotions get to her and almost losing her life. The two sat in silence for a while until Cobra decided to try to start up a conversation.
"Well... since we're gonna be here for a while why don't you tell me about yourself."
"About myself?" Spooz tilted his head as if the question he was asked was unusual.
"Yeah, like where you're from, how you ended up here, or what your life was like before the apocalypse." Cobra paused remembering the watch that indicated that it was time for Spooz to leave. "Or what that watch is for."
"Well... my backstory isn't really tragic... I lived a normal life until the apocalypse. My parents turned and that's when I ran hear and decided to pass the time by hunting monsters." Spooz spoke quickly as he explained.
Cobra frowned, "No offense, but you're awful at telling stories..."
"I'm not used to expressing myself..." Spooz sighed and gazed out the window into the darkest. Cobra moved closer to look outside as well. The crumbled buildings could be seen in the faint moonlight, along with a few stray zombies. Then from outside, there was a clattering sound... almost like bones? Straining her neck, Cobra looked down at the sidewalk that was in front of the house. There was a walking skeleton, it had a bow in its hand and a quiver of arrows strapped to its back.
"What in the world is that?" Cobra pointed down to the skeleton. Spooz looked down and his eyes widened with horror.
"Get down!" Spooz pulled Cobra back under with window seal, almost hitting her head on the frame on her way down.
"Watch it!" She snapped.
"Hush!" Spooz demanded. He peeked over the window as the clattering began to get further away. "Thank god it didn't see us." He sighed with relief.
"It was just a walking skeleton. What's so dangerous about it," Cobra tilted her head and crossed her arms.
"Are you blind?!"
"Maybe..."
"It was holding a bow in its hands! Those skeletons are no joke, they have amazing aim with their bow and they'll always try to headshot you. If that thing saw us in the window it could've killed us both instantly."
"Daaaaaaaang..."
"'Daaaaaaaang' is right!" Spooz exclaimed then took a deep breath. "Look, you're the first normal person I've seen in forever and I care about you even though we've only known each other for a little while. I can't risk losing probably the last normal person I'll ever see! I'll go insane!"
"Well I have some bad news for you, I'm not normal in any way." Cobra chuckled.
"Yeah, you've made that perfectly clear. Listen, if you wanna survive out here you're going to need to know about the monsters that exist now. I don't know about all of them but I'll you everything do I know"
Time skip about 2 hours
"Alright, if you see creeper what do you do?"
Cobra yawned in annoyance, "Get as far away from it as possible. Because if it sees me within 20 feet of it it'll blow up..." The sun was already beginning to rise, turning the sky orange.
"Good, okay one more-" Spooz stopped when his watch beeped.
Cobra sighed in disappointment, "Let me guess... you have to leave again..." Spooz nodded as he got up.
"It might take a little longer this time but I'll back by noon." He turned, grabbing his backpack but a pull on his pant leg held him back.
"Do you have to? I'm gonna be bored here..." Cobra whined.
"I can't be late for-" Spooz cut himself off. Cobra glared at him suspiciously,
"Late for what? I thought you were monster hunting... how can you be late?"
"Just... don't worry about it, I'll be back." Spooz freed his leg from Cobra's grasp, walked down the stairs and to the front door.
