☆MOTIVATION☆

In which Ash finds the motivation to get good grades.

~☆~

"Ugh." Ash groaned and slumped to the ground. He felt tired. Exhausted. "I can't do this!" He cried as dark clouds loomed overhead.

"Ash." Gou frowned, watching his friend from the side. Rain drops began to fall, soaking the sulking boy while Gou remained untouched as he was under the protection of the building roof. "Ash get out of the rain, you're gonna catch a cold."

"No." Ash whined and on cue the thunder rumbled. "Come join me." He offered.

"Ash!" Gou frowned and shook his head. Ash shrugged and began to lay down, absorbing the water. "Come on, it's not that bad." He tried to reason with the depressed boy.

"I failed three tests, Gou. And there's a possibility the team is going to kick me out." Ash grumbled but loud enough for Gou to hear through the rain.

"Well, you can just retake the tests and get your grades up before the term ends." Gou suggested.

"It's not that easy. Unlike you, Gou. I actually try."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"It means your naturally smart and don't need to work so hard to get good grades."

Gou laughed at the absurdity of his words. "Is that what you think?"

"Well... yeah.."

"Well, then you should see me during test week."

"I mean, if it's not much of a bother I don't mind watching you do things-"

"Ash."

"Hahah, kidding."

Gou sighed and shook his head. "Seriously Ash. Getting good grades is not a walk in the park. It's about hard work and dedication."

"Yeah, well I've worked hard and gave it my all."

"Yeah well that's the thing, you didn't give it your all and thats why you failed."

"I-"

"Shut up, Ash. Not another excuse from you. Get up before you inhale a rain drop." Gou extended his hand to help Ash up but was rejected.

"You can be harsh sometimes, you're lucky I love you and also, it's cute that you're worried I'll inhale a rain drop. But leave me be. I'm done. Let me die."

"Ash, don't say stuff like that." Gou scolded.

"What? Let me die? Or I love you? Cause I tell you that all the time but you always reject my feelings and affection-"

"Ash, what the heck?" Gou rolled his eyes, ignoring the warmth that was overcoming his body and the funny feeling at the pit of his stomach.

"See, you're ignoring my love! What the heck Gou! lOVe mE!" Ash demanded and began hitting the ground with his hands, flailing about like a fish.
