Chapter 1- Just Prue

I sighed as I clicked my pen onto the empty piece of paper. It was just past nine pm on a wednesday night, and I was sitting in my room doing my homework. Well, tried to. I rubbed my eyes, but stopped when I realised that I was still wearing makeup.

Great.

I groaned and got up to find the makeup wipes in the bathroom. While removing my makeup, I came to the conclusion that I was done with homework for the night, and that I deserved a grilled cheese sandwich before heading to bed. I removed my makeup, put on an oversized tshirt and put my hair into a bun before heading downstairs to grab my sandwich.

While making my sandwich and humming to Hoziers Take Me To Church, I glanced out the window and saw a large moving truck pulling up to the house beside us. I raised my eyebrows before glancing out the window, curious as to who was moving in.

The people who used to lived there moved out a few weeks ago. It was an old couple, Mr and Mrs Miller. They were about 60 years old, very nice people. I used to visit them all the time when I was younger. Especially when I was 11. My mom decided that I should start doing chores, annoyingly enough, so she suggested that I could help them with their gardening and cleaning. I got there right after school and got home just in time for dinner.

Wow, that is six years ago. Seems like yesterday.

As I shoved the food in my mouth, someone stepped out of the truck. A woman, about my moms age, holding what looks like a four year old girl. Next came a broad but masculine man out from the drivers side. He too looked about my moms age, perhaps a bit older.

When I thought they had all gotten out, a boy my age stepped out of the truck. He was tall, muscled and looked to be about 6'1. He had blonde hair from what I saw, and I must say he was quite attractive. He looked around before his eyes landed on the kitchen window, since it was the only window who had light. And of course, he squinted his eyes as he saw me standing there, and smirked when he saw a girl his age, standing there looking like the grudge, shoving food into her mouth. I was so embarrased I litterally ducked under the counter as I blushed crimson red.

Again,

Great.

"Prudence, wake up or you'll be late for school!"

I groaned into my pillow and streched my feet. Yet another day of school, yehaw. I dragged myself out of bed and into the bathroom. I was met with the beautiful sight of the bird nest on top of my head. Well, it was only hair, but it looks like a bird nest. I grabbed my hairbrush and tried to make it look decent. No time for a shower today if I wanted to make it to school on time. Instead, I just put my hair into a ponytail and let it be.

I did my makeup and went to my closet to find something to wear. I groaned loudly when I opened the doors. I have nothing to wear.

I just pulled out a pair of black jeans and a knittet sweater. It was fall after all. I skipped down the stairs, grabbed myself a granola bar and headed towards the door.
