" GO NEKOMA!" you screamed from the bleachers. Nekoma was currently playing against Fukurodani, and the score was currently 24-24. " Just get one more point Kenma!" You screamed again. Kenma looked up at you from the court and gave a small nod. You were a second year and Nekoma high. You transferred there from America and after you got to Nekoma, you met Kenma and Lev. You and Kenma would hang out and play video games while you and Lev would hang out and practice volleyball. You didn't play any sports, tried to but could never find anything that interested you. The whistle blew signaling a new play to begin. It was Akaashi's turn to serve as they had scored the last point that tied the game. You've heard of Akaashi before, even met him a few times. You've heard many things ranging from " he's amazing " to " how in the frick frack tic tac paddy whack does he deal with that Bokuto". You simply just laughed at remembering what different people have said about the second year setter. Focusing back on the game, Akaashi bounced the ball a few times, then served it over to Nekoma's side. Kuroo bumped it to kenma, who then set it so Kuroo could spike it. Howeverrrrrrr, Bokuto got the spike back over to Nekoma's side and hit the ground. Everyone remained silent, until that ball hit the ground. " LET'S GO FUKURODANI IIIIII" Some fangirls yelled. Everyone who was cheering for Fukurodani had gone up in excitement while Nekoma's audience cheered them on for doing their best. After everyone had let you stayed behind to talk to the Nekoma boys. You climbed down from the bleachers slowly, you had a reputation for being ht eclutz of Nekoma. You got to the third from first bleacher and said, " Ha take that, who's a clutz now?" You said high and mighty proud that you didn't fall. Welp, it was v e r y short lived as you had slipped on the second step and fell on your arms. You had managed to break your fall from breaking your face by putting your arms in front of you face and chest. You laid there for a second. " what in the everloving crap y/n." you sighed out. You then heard someone chuckle. ' great' you thought ' just when I was trying to loose my stupid reputation' you thought again. " here let me help you up." The voice sounded very familiar. " Akaashi, leave me here to die in shame." He just simply smirked. " Alright, if that's what the princess wishes." He said while bowing and holding back a laugh. " Keiji you stupid dork." you snorted. You got up and just looked at Akaashi. " What?" he asked nervously. " Mmmm Nothing!" you said while smiling. " Congrats on winning by the way, I secretly wanted you to win, but don't tell me fam that, they'll throw me out!" you snickered. He simply just shook his head at how much of a weirdo you were. ' my weirdo' he blushed at the sudden thought and you took notice of this. " oOoOoO you're blushinnnnn!" you said teasingly. He looked away and coughed trying to cover it up. " yeah yeah." he said monotonically. You both began walking until you reached the door. Akaashi went to open it, but it didn't budge. He pulled harder and tried pushing it open. Still wouldn't move. " We're stuck ain't we." You said a little annoyed. "Yeah we are." Akaashi replied annoyed as well. " You think anyone else is here, Keiji?" " I don't know. We could check, l/n." " Good idea I'll get the girls bathroom and locker room you get the boys bathroom and locker room." you said before you sprinted out of the room, Akaashi right behind me. " Y/N WAIT'' He yelled. You stopped in your tracks and turned to look at him, " yeah?" you asked with a smile. ' Geez she's adorable' Keiji thought. He started blushing again, you noticed but decided not to bring it up again. ' he's cute when he blushes' and welp now you're blushing too. You both just kinda stood there, awkwardly, saying nothing. " uh, ah, uh you wanted to tell me something?" you questioned awkwardly. " o-oh yeah uh, don't just randomly run off. The local news said there was supposed to be a storm and at a loss of power, if that happens here, we won't find each other." he said normally, awkwardness between you slowly going away. " aw peanuts and biscuits." you said sighing. " Peanuts and what?" he looked so confused you couldn't help but giggle. " I saw random metaphors, even though I make 'em up, and no one else says them, yeah I'm really weird huh?" you questioned half joking. You started to laugh again until he said " cute"..." what?" " nothing" " alright then" you said shrugging it off. You both started to walk side by side to the locker rooms. After a minute or so you both met back out in the hall and started to walk back to the gym. " So let me get this straight, no one is here, we're locked in, storm coming our way, knees weak arms spaghetti-" " y/n'' you blushed at the fact he called you by your first name, he does it sometimes but everytime you never see it coming. " yeah akaashi?" " I will yeet myself away from you if you start quoting vines and memes." He said teasingly. " DID U JUST SAY YEET?" you practically yelled. You were in shock. you never knew he could actually quote a meme or anything like that for that matter. You just thought he was eating sleep volleyball. " Yeah? Come on I'm not that uncultured, I'm not a swine." He said laughing. You started laughing with him until the lights went out. " Well shiver me timbers this ruffles my fluffles." " Y/n, w h y " he practically was begging you to stop. " Ha, because I can''. " What do we do now?" just as you asked you heard and loud KABOOM and nearly jumped on akaashi. You loved thunderstorms and rain and lightning, but right now you didn't. You were alone with Akaashi, stuck in here, with no power. BOOM you slightly jumped again. The bigger claps of thunder is what freaked you out, you never knew when they would clap again, and it was always so loud. Soon enough you felt something around your torso. ' what the...oh Akaashi....AKAASHI?' you basically screamed in your head. you just stood there, him hugging you, and you going crazy. " You're gonna be fine, it'll just be for the night, thien the storm will move on." he whispered trying to calm you down. But you, being a stubborn person, shook yourself out of his grasp and said, " I ain't scared! Little thunder never killed anybody!" You said stubbornly. Akaashi just stood there, confused as to what had just happened. " Ok." was all he said. For five minutes was nothing but silence. You began to feel bad and just started thinking. ' His hug was nice...it's freezing in here and he was warm.' you started blushing like crazy, thank goodness the lights were off was all you kept thinking until keiji tapped you. " hey, are you cold?" he asked, he sounded concerned. " No I'm, fine baka." ' what in the name are you doing y/n?' you started scolding yourself for being so stubborn instead of just being normal. Akaashi knew that when you got flustered you went and got all stubborn and defensive. He didn't take it personally. instead he just smiled and came over next to you. " What are you doing?" you were cut off when he placed his hand with yours. " a-akaashi?" you questioned. " yeah?" " nothing.". Akaashi couldn't stop thinking about the way your hands felt. They were soft and cold. They were small compared to his. After a few minutes you began to fall asleep. " You can sleep, you know." " ok." that was it, you went out like a light. BAM. you jerked awake, scared half to death by the thunder. You were lulled to sleep by the rain, yet woken by thunder, hilarious. You sat up shaking, cold, scared, and want to be in akaashi's hold. Akaashi was awake the entire time while you slept. " Did you ever sleep Akaashi-senpai?" you asked, still half asleep mind you. He blushed like crazy. ' senpai? we're in the same grade....' he thought. He noticed your eyelids were still half shut and wanting to fall back asleep. " No, I was awake." " You should've slept!" " I will" " Lay down with me keiji '' you said, still not fully conscious. He was a tomato at this point. " o-ok." He tried his best to keep his cool. He laid down with you on the floor, you were facing him, and you snuggled closer to him. " You're warm, I'm freezing, we make the perfect pair!" you said giggling. He snickered and wrapped his arm around you. " Yeah, perfect pair." he murmured. " You know Keiji, I've liked you for a while.". ' What?' he thought. " What?" " I like you." you smiled and so did he. " I like you too y/n." ater he said that he noticed you were asleep. ' and I'm the baka' he chuckled and smiled. He kissed your forehead and said goodnight, with you by his side, and his arms around you. Wouldn't trade this for the world, he thought.

You started stirring awake, akaashi already was. You didn't remember last night, what either of you said when you were half dead. However, you both got up, he explained what happened, and the coach for Nekoma came and unlocked the gym, found y'all and let you guys out. " You know y/n, we make the perfect pair." He said while smirking. You remembered THAT from last night. " aha haaaaaaa yeah we do!" You yelled while smiling. " Good, guess that makes us a pair." He said. " Smooth." you chuckled. you both walked to your house, hand in hand.
