Capitolo Tredici - Silence

-Sky's POV-

"Why didn't you tell me what happened in the bathroom that day?"

When he first said that I was confused but slowly realized that he was referring to the situation that I thought I could finally forget about.

The one situation that caused my blood pressure to go through the fucking roof and potentially add a risk to our babies.

I tried opening my mouth but I was speechless; looking around the chaos that Adriano created started to instill a fear of him.

Something that I never expected from him, he was looking me dead straight in the eye while I was trying to form words to calm him down.

But that was way beyond my control.

In the span of the few minutes I was there, he spiraled into somebody that I was once stuck with, dark, angry, almost resounding the emotions of the devil.

I felt the panic arise in the pit of my stomach and make its way through my body as I felt my legs buckle underneath. I lost control over my body as I fell to the ground horrified by the sight in front of me.

His body was hung upside down with barely any clothing, the only support he had was tight ropes tugging the skin near his ankles slowly burning his skin every time he was screaming for help letting him instill fear deep inside of me; the fear of what Adriano is capable of.

Leo was splashing buckets of water in hopes to keep him alive and suffer whatever he has done to the italian mafia but this will never be my world; making people suffer, which is the polar opposite of what I do, helping people whether or not their good or bad.

I felt tears escape my eyes treacherously as I slowly stood up wanting to go home to forget the monster I just witnessed, somebody who I believed I started to fall in love with, but in reality just another person who I truly will never understand.

I wiped my tears grabbing the door handle when I felt his arms snake around my waist forcing me to turn around looking him directly in the eyes.

I usually would never be intimated to look someone in the eye but for the first time was I ever scared for my own life, who knows what this monster was capable of.

"Did you really think that I was going to let you go without answering the fucking question?" He let his words out with hate filling me with more anxiety.

I didn't know what to say or what to do so I let the silence engulf us letting the bad man's screams fill the air.

With one of his arms forcefully gripping my waist as his other hand went to my face squeezing my cheeks, exerting all his anger towards me, losing my ability to breathe which made me feel the lowest I've ever felt in my life.

It was like something was weighing me down both mentally and physically that I couldn't even speak up for myself.

"Oh look, the bitch finally decided to stop talking for once. The one time where I ask you to fucking talk, you don't."

He let me go suddenly, letting me stumble back holding onto the door for support, while he walked away aimlessly around the dark musty room letting his laughs echo through the walls mixing with the man's screams, from the pain he was feeling earlier.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?" Leo having enough went to the other side of the room grabbing Adriano by his shirt pushing him against the wall saying something that I couldn't quite hear due to my own state of panic.

The only thing I realized was when he dragged the chair letting the legs scrape against the cement letting the man's screams subside.

He put the chair in front of me making me forcefully sit while adding pressure to my shoulders so I wouldn't move a muscle.
