*Unrequested. All in Jess's PoV*

I sighed, bored out of my mind from the paperwork. I stood up, deciding to procrastinate and finish tomorrow.

"Hey Jess, still up for breaking into Radar's place and scaring him?" Lukas asked from the doorway.

"Of course. And it's technically not B&E if he willingly gave me a house key." I added. Lukas rolled his eyes, but didn't say anything more. We walked through Beacontown, trying to look as nonchalant as possible. Stopping outside of his door, I pulled out the key and unlocked it, listening for movement from inside. Assuming we were safe, we quickly opened the door, closing it behind us as silently as possible, prepared to leap into a hiding spot.

"It's a lot quieter than I was expecting." I nodded in agreement. We heard something from upstairs, and decided to follow the noise. As we got closer, it sounded like someone was playing the guitar. Lukas and I glanced at each other in surprise and confusion. I grabbed the doorknob, twisting it slowly so it wouldn't make any noise. I opened it enough so Lukas and I could both see inside. Neither of us expected Radar to be the one playing. He had his back to us, headphones on.

I was about to walk up to him, when he began singing.

-Song by Alec Benjamin-

She was 19 with a baby on the way, on the east side of the city she was working everyday, cleaning dishes in the evening she could barely stay awake, she was clinging to the feeling that her luck was gonna change

Cross town, she would take the bus at night, to her one bedroom apartment and when she turned on the light,
She would sit down at the table tell herself that it's alright she was waiting on the day she hoped the baby would arrive

She'd never be alone, have someone to hold, and when nights were cold, she'd say

The world's not perfect but it's not that bad, if we've got each other and that's all we have, I'll be your mother and I'll hold your hand, you should know I'll be there for you.

And the world's not perfect when the world's not kind, if we have each other then we'll both be fine, I will be your mother and I'll hold your hand, you should know I'll be there for you.

They were 90, and living out their days on the west side of the city next to where they got engaged. They had pictures on the wall of all the memories they made, and their life is never easy they were thankful that they stayed

With each other, and though times were hard, even when she made him angry he would never break her heart,

And they didn't have the money to afford a fancy car, but they'd never have to travel cause they'd never be apart

Even at the end, their love was stronger than, the day that they first met, they'd say

The world's not perfect but it's not that bad if we got each other and that's all we have I will be your lover and I'll hold your hand, you should know I'll be there for you,

And the world's not perfect when the world's not kind, if we have each other then we'll both be fine, I will be your lover and I'll hold your hand, you should know I'll be there for you.

You should know I'll be there for you

I'm 23 and my folks are getting old I know they don't have forever and I'm scared to be alone

I'm thankful for my sister's even though sometimes we fight, when highschool wasn't easy she's the reason I survived

I know she'd never leave me and I'd hate to see her cry, so I wrote this verse to tell her that I'm always by her side, I wrote this verse to tell her that I'm always by her side,
