time ticked by slowly for the comatose boy. though he was happy to have company such as corbyns.

"hey dani, it's october 15th. i uh, i met your mum yesterday. we talked for a few hours. she had a lot to say about you" daniel could hear the hesitancy in corbyn's voice. he didn't understand why he had that tone.

daniel however felt pity for corbyn. e had to sit for hours and listen to his mum ramble. even daniel couldn't do it.

"she's very nice! she says that her favorite thing about you is your passion for music. so i did a little thing. i brought my guitar today thinking maybe i could sing for you" mentally, daniel screamed encouragements. he hadn't heard music is a very long time!

the slow picking of the strings met daniel's ears and he understood that first corbyn was tuning.

"i only know one direction and ed sheeran. from what your mum says, you enjoy both"

the rhythmic thump of the guitar strings started, making daniels heart beat speed up slightly.

"going out tonight, changes into something red, her mother doesn't like that kinda dress..."

daniel wanted to sing along with corbyn so badly. or tap to the beat. twitch even.

but he was stuck. daniel was stuck in a horrible horrible nightmare he only seemed to escape when corbyn was around, but sometimes even then he was reminded of the tragedy that occurred. how it took absolutely everything from him.

daniel concludes angrily, that he would rather be deaf and be able to do everything else than be this way.

daniel hated this. it was stupid. people bathed him and fed him like he was a child. it was ridiculous! if he could just wake up, he wouldn't need anyone's help.

"i have loved you since we were 18" corbyns soft melodic voice stopped daniel in his angered pity party. it was his favorite song.

he decided then that maybe it wasn't so bad at this moment. he was content to listen to corbyn sing.

suddenly he heard footsteps approach the door before it swung open.

"who are you?!" jack avery said.
