it was hot in texas, corbyn would admit.

the fact that his senior year was starting in a week meant that corbyn was about to be super busy. his mind wouldn't have time to think about daniel as much. corbyn was trying hard to forget about the boy he had inconveniently fell in love with.

corbyn sighed, walked into the house, sweat dripping off his bare torso as he had just gone for a run.

people in texas were nosey. every day he went for a run at the same time for about an hour and everyday the same girls and boys would come up to him, claiming him to be sexy and wanting to date him.

and even though he was trying to forget daniel, he certainly wasn't far enough along o
date someone else.

he walked into the kitchen, grabbing a bottle of water from
the fridge and chugging it before running up the stairs.

entering his room he immediately got ready for a shower to get off all the sweat and dirt.

so... corbyn was trying hard to forget daniel. just maybe not as hard as he should've been. after moving to texas, corbyn got more invested in his music. he played the acoustic a lot more

and his shower playlist was nearly identical to the playlist titled

the shower was the only place corbyn allowed himself to think
about dani.

20 minutes later corbyn was out of the shower. flopping onto his bed, he ran a hand through his damp hair. his mum had finally remarried this man called josh. who happened to be one of his friends dads.

so now him and zach herron were brothers. and they were closer than ever.

a knock sounded at his door.

"hey, corbs?" zachs voice came through muffled as he pushed the door open.

"hey, z" he answered his younger brother "what's up" he could see that zach was trying to contain a huge smile.

"well, i just got some really good news and i want to share it with you but it might make you a little bit sad..." he said, looking down at his feet.

"zach, you know you can tell me anything. what's up?" corbyn replied, sitting up.

of course zach knew that, corbyn was his best friend. but he made an effort not to talk about jack around corbyn cause it made him sad, jack reminded corbyn of daniel.

even though jack and zach were still going strong, they hadn't seen each other in almost three months so zach was giddy with the news he received

"well, jack just texted me and said that he's coming down to texas in a couple of days to see me..." he said softly.

corbyn willed himself not to ask about daniel, he was working on forgetting the boy.

"that's amazing z! i know how much you miss him!" zach finally let himself smile as he squealed.

"i know, i miss him so much, i can't wait to kiss his lips again. oh man, i'm so happy!" zach twirled around before venturing out of his brothers bedroom.
what zach didn't tell corbyn was the rest of it.

that daniel had woken up the day after they left and that jack wasn't coming alone, but with keri and dani. and also that they were not only come to visit. but were moving down here.

something about no taxes in texas.
