I slammed my hand on the steel table. The room was dark only me and one of my men inside.

"I need some fresh blood. I'm too hungry for this bullshit" I grumble. Cristine was going to be the death of me. There was no way I was going to let her be with anyone else. She's either with me forever, or I'll kill her myself. The thought of her and that stupid werewolf made my bloodlust almost crippling. Fuck werewolves never liked them.

"Right now they're keeping a close watch on her because of your blasted letter, nice one by the way. Now it's going to be harder to get her than it would've been before" The werewolf says from behind me. I really hated working with werewolves but he was my greatest asset especially because of his access to Cristine.

"Shut up Dmitri. I know it was stupid you don't need to remind me. And it's not all my fault, didn't she just try to off herself or something?" I snap back. Little miss Cristine was feeling sad so she tried to take her own life, pathetic.

"Technically she didn't. I think she just fainted" Dmitri says smartly. I roll my eyes. Whatever. Big difference.

"I think we won't be able to capture her. Why don't we strike up a deal? Make a bargain. We kill one of their men every day they don't hand over the girl. If the king doesn't give in eventually I have a feeling Cristine definitely will" I think about. It wasn't the worst idea, it was actually  a pretty good one to be honest.

"So you really wanna kill your own pack huh Dmitri?" I ask. He rolls his eyes at me. "I mean isn't he your nephew? What did he do to deserve an uncle who's out for his head?"

"Oh shut up Liam, you have no idea what my blasted brother did to me" The wolf scoffs.

"He steal your toy or something? I mean damn thats your own blood man." Dmitri slams his hand on the table. Looks like I hit a nerve.

"Listen you bloodsucker, do you want my help or not?" His werewolf eyes flash out of anger. I chuckle.

"Yes yes of course, you plan is excellent Dmitri, when do we start?"

Sweat drips from my forehead as I roll my eyes at Sebastián's smirk.

"Ready to give up yet minha flor?" I grit my teeth. Absolutely not. Sebastián and I had been focusing on training. I really wanted to become stronger and maybe one day be able to transform into my wolf.

You really mean that? My wolf asks.

Yeah, I say sheepishly, Maybe shifting isn't so bad, maybe I can do it again and maybe nothing bad will happen I admit to my wolf, but I wont know unless I try.

My god, she says in disbelief, I'm really liking the effect our mate has on you Cristine, I'm proud, I mean it. I cant help but smile.

Oh shut up I feel a blush creeping up against my cheeks. I was never good at accepting complements.

"I don't give up that easy Alpha king" I say confidently but I cant help but notice the pounding in my head. "...but maybe a small break?" He nods his head in agreement.

"You're looking a little pale are you alright?" He asks, eyebrows furrowed in concern. He brings a rag up to my forehead and wipes away my sweat.

"I'm fine, just feeling a bit lightheaded" My vision starts to get blurry as the sound around me begins to sound muffled. Sebastián says something but I can't quite make out what. Slowly I am pushed into a chair and after a few moments of sitting down the world comes back to me and the pounding fades.

"I don't think I've ever met an anemic wolf" Sebastián chuckles. "Maybe we should se a doctor about it" I shake my head.

"No it's okay really..it's not life threatening or anything" Sebastián looks at me worried. "Im fine really-" suddenly I am interrupted by the most shrill scream.

"NOOOO" A woman's voice cries. I look to Sebastián and see his eyes flash red, he has gone into Alpha mode.

"Stay here" He orders in a deep voice, leaving me in the chair before running towards the source of the scream. Of course, me being me, I had to see whats going on. I had this strange feeling something terrible had happened, it felt like a piece of me had broken off and disappeared, leaving a strange empty feeling inside of my chest.

I follow the others and head towards Sebastián. A crowd had gathered around him, they all seemed to be focused on something. Some people with their mouths open in shock and others with tears streaming down their face. Being small it was easy for me to slide through the crowd of people without causing too much disruption. I had just  made it to the front and am about to call  Sebastián when I see it. What everyone was crowded around.

On the floor lay the mangled body of a pack warrior, Leo,  I think his name was. The source of the scream was from his mate who lay sobbing and clinging to his dead body. I feel a sharp pain at the back of my throat as I try my best to hold back the tears. The sensation I had earlier, of feeling like something was ,missing, it was from the death of a pack member. Never in my life had I felt something like that. Such an empty feeling in my chest, it was almost excruciating. But I've heard of this before, it happens to Alphas and Lunas when a member of their pack dies. I never though in my life it would actually happen to me. I was able to understand the pain of losing him even though I didn't even know him.

"Crsitina" Sebastián calls "I told you not to follow me, go to our room" He starts to drag me away from the horrific sight of our pack members body but I resist.

"Wait!" My sudden exclamation makes him, and everyone pause. "His hand, theres something in his hand" I point and the balled fist lying on the ground. My body acts on its own as I push past Sebastián approach Leo's dead body. His wife's sobs slow enough to watch as I open his cold, stiff hand and pull out a crumpled up piece of paper. Quickly I do my best to flatten it so its contents were legible.

"Who's next" The paper reads in red writing. My heart stops as I let the notebook paper fall to the floor. Whispering erupts among the pack, they had seen what the note said.

My blood ran cold as I remembered the way the t was written. With a unique swirl at the end that could only belong to one person.
