"Shawn? Shawn!" his best friend, Josh, snapped his fingers in front of his face, bringing him back to reality. He sighed. "Okay, man, what is up with you? You are never paying attention anymore."

The truth was Shawn had been spending all of his time thinking about the beautiful boy that he had been talking to for a couple of weeks now.

"Um, nothing, just... some lyrics for a new song." 

Josh narrowed his eyes, but let it go.

The One Direction + Shawn groupchat

Louis: hey fookers

Shawn: did you really have to name it one direction + shawn?

Louis: yes shawnie

Louis: otherwise people would get confused.

Josh, who was reading over his shoulder, snorted. "Who are these people that you're in a group chat with anyway?"

Shawn shrugged. "Just some people that I met online."

Niall: oi loueh don't be mean

Harry: ZAYN SHUT UP.

Harry: ...

Harry: Sorry, didn't mean to write that in the group chat.

Shawn: care to explain?

Harry: Zayn's gonna kill me...

Harry: He's wanking of in the bathroom moaning Liam's name and he's being really loud, and I can't concentrate on my writing.

I laughed and set my phone down, reading the messages as Louis explained about Taylor. All of a sudden, I got a private message from Niall.

Niall: hey

Shawn: hey yourself

Niall: louis is really upset by taylor huh?

Shawn: yeah i guess so

Shawn: but harry wouldn't do anything to hurt louis

Shawn: you would know that better than anyone

Niall: yeah

Niall: did you see that article about your interview with ellen lmaoooo

Shawn: no which one?

Niall: it was taking about your 'problem'

Shawn: oh fuck off

Niall: hahahaha

Shawn: why are we still on this😫

"Dude, what the fuck?" Josh exclaimed, and I jumped.

I had forgotten that he was reading the messages as well.

"I-um..."

"His name is Niall?"

"Yeah," I replied, a dreamy smile taking over my face.

Josh rolled his eyes at me. "Whatever man, I'm just happy if you're happy."
