"Joshua, I didn't think I would see you guys here," Alan said greeting his son.
"Of course we would be here. It's your birthday and my girlfriend has been nagging since last week that we have to come," Josh said and Maya smiled getting the diaper bag out of the car as she took Mila out.
"Funny," Maya said.
"Girlfriend, isn't it? A lot has changed," Riley said and Maya laughed.
"Hi, Alan. Happy birthday," Maya said.
"Thanks, Maya. Hi, Mila," Alan said taking Mila from Maya.

"He'll play the grandfather until his death. Hey, Maya. How are you?" Amy asked giving Maya a hug before she greeted her son.
"I'm good. We both are actually," Maya said.
"I'm glad then. Hopefully you are treating the mother of your child well," Amy said and Josh shook his head.
"Of course I am. Let's go inside. This wind is chilly. I don't want Mila to get sick," Josh said.
"Let's go," Maya said.

As the entered the house Maya saw how Shawn and Cory were already busy talking while Josh went over to them.
He had wanted to ask them something for awhile now but didn't want to do it over the phone.

"Baby Matthews. How are you kids doing being parents?" Shawn asked.
"Maya is doing excellent. She's an amazing mother," Josh said looking over at where Maya was sitting next to Riley while she had Mila on her lap.

Josh smiled as he saw the pure love in her eyes for their daughter.
Being a mother at 17 was hard and challenging but it also had its own victories.

"I want to ask you two something. The two of you are the closest to fathers that I'm going to get and for the next question I need someone like that," Josh said and Cory looked at him.
"You want to ask her to get married," Cory said and Josh nodded.
"Wow, you guys haven't been dating for that long even. Maybe less than a month. Are you sure you want to do that? It's a big step," Shawn said.
"I know. But I don't want to wait. She's the mother of my child and if I knew I wanted to be with someone else I wouldn't have cheated on her and we wouldn't have a four month with us currently. I'm sure. I'll wait until she is 18 to officially ask her or maybe another month so she can adjust to everything easier. But I want to do it. Without any doubt," Josh said.
"Ask her whenever you want to. I'm okay with it," Cory said.
"I think you guys should wait. I don't approve of this," Shawn said as Cory looked at him.
"Forget what Shawn says. Ask Riley what she thinks then you will know for sure. But I don't have a problem," Cory said.
