We're Engaged!

Maya smiled looking at the ring on her finger while she was busy feeding Mila.
She exhaled looking at her daughter while she thought how her life could have been.

"Hey, you," Riley said.
"Hey, Riles. She should be done soon," Maya said.
"And anything exciting happened yesterday?" Riley asked as Maya held up her hand.
"We're engaged," Maya said.
"Oh my gosh. Let me see. That is amazing, Maya. Incredible," Riley said.
"Yeah it is," Maya said as she saw that Mila had finished her bottle putting it down before she put her daughter in her swing.
"She's almost five months. That's incredible," Riley said.
"Yeah it is," Maya said as Josh came through the door.

"And why didn't you tell us that you asked the huge question?" Riley asked.
"Because I'm your uncle. Not the go between you and my fiancé. You know she's going to grow too big for that swing?" Josh asked and Maya smiled.
"Yeah I do," Maya said.
