Nana was raised by her grandmother and uncle. It was revealed that Nana was raised by her grandmother and her uncle since young.
Nana hasn't really talk about her parents but fans have noticed that Nana only has mentioned her grandmother and paternal uncle and her father.
Nana's father and mother were college students when they had her. However, Nana's father wasn't well off in college.
As people got curious, it was later discovered that her parents were divorced two months after her birth, and she was given custody to her dad but he had passed away due to a car accident at the age of fourteen.
Her mother was never in the picture and refused custody of Nana after her father's death and signed away her rights for custody.
She also married a man significantly older than her in 2003 who is the father of her half sister.
Since then, her uncle has been her guardian.
Her uncle is actually only ten years older than her.
Nana revealed that her uncle was still in college when he adopted her as he just returned from mandatory military service the year before.
Nana says that her uncle has always been there for her despite them being ten years apart. Although he is legally her adoptive father, Nana calls him uncle as they both felt it would awkward if she called him dad.
As for Nana's biological mother, she got remarried a year after her divorce and Nana has a half-sister which she doesn't talk to at all.
Nana has expressed that her mom has her own different family and never consider her a daughter.
