Chapter 6

That next morning, we got word that Alyssa has just arrived in Seoul. We go to the airport to pick her up, then go straight to where CRAVITY gets their hair and makeup done at the idol salon. It's not specifically for idols, but it's where a lot of idols go to get their hair and makeup all done to perfection. I told Alyssa what they plan on doing, and it's got her super excited.
"So, have you decided on who you want now?" I asked.
"Um. . . If I were to really choose, I think it would be Minhee." Alyssa said.
"Okay, I see. I'll help set it up." I said.
"No~ let me do it." Alyssa said.
"Alright, alright." I said.
"Minhee." Alyssa said.
"Yes?" Minhee asked.
"Will you go out with me?" Alyssa asked.
"Oh. . . Um, yes." Minhee said.
"Yes? Yes!" Alyssa exclaimed.
Now, Alyssa and Minhee have called it official. We don't know where it will go from here, but I know it'll be adorable.

We arrive at the salon, and I'm overwhelmed by the amount of Korean celebrities surrounding me. I am seated by one of the stylists, who speaks English.
"Aw, CRAVITY has told me so much about you." Sooyun said.
"I bet they have." I said.
"To think you went from fans to girlfriends. That's the dream any fan could dream of." Sooyun said.
"I know. What are you styling me like today?" I asked.
"I was thinking to match CRAVITY's recent concept." Sooyun said.
"Okay, I know what you're talking about." I said.

Just how I like it: dark. I know exactly how the stylists will style Alyssa and I. We get our hair styled, and it's cute. Simple, yet classy. Then, next up are the outfits. They choose to style me in black ripped jeans, a black shirt, and leather jacket. For shoes, black and white shoes like they're wearing in the picture. This feels quite grungey, but I'm not complaining. It's one of my favorite styles. There's actually a mix of navy blue and black in the concept, which is a good mix in my opinion.

When we get finished all styled up, from head to toe, all that is left is to surprise the guys. The scariest part was putting in the colored contact lenses. I told the stylists that I need prescription lenses because I needed glasses, but Seongmin already informed them of this. I didn't have my prescription on hand, so I had to message my eye doctor to send me one. Once that whole mess was figured out, I could show them the contacts that I needed. Anyways, it's finished now. We look really cool.

We leave the salon and get a ride to Starship Entertainment. CRAVITY told us to go to their practice room. There's apparently another surprise waiting for us there. What else could there possibly be? We go up in the elevator and head into the practice room. Waiting there was not CRAVITY, but Monsta X.
"Oh my- is that?" I asked.
"No." Alyssa said in disbelief.
"Surprise!" Monsta X exclaimed once we walked into the room.
"What are you guys doing here?" I asked.
"We heard, next to CRAVITY, that we're your favorite K-pop group. We came to teach you a few of our choreographies." I.M said.
"No." Alyssa said, again.
"You don't?" I.M asked.
"No, I just can't believe it. We've met again." Alyssa said.
"Yeah, I know. We love you." I said.
"Well, are you ready to dance?" I.M asked.
"You’re probably going to be better at this than me." I said.
"I've danced before, but not seriously." Alyssa said.
"What are we starting with?" I asked.
"Hit it!" I.M exclaimed.
Immediately, Fantasia, fills the room. Monsta X begins dancing. I realize that they're starting with one of the hardest songs to do.

We watch on until they finish the song. I am blown away yet again by Kihyun's live vocals. When they finish dancing, they ask us to hop in anywhere among them, then they go through step by step. We learn slowly at first, then speed up as we get each part. It took about two hours to learn one dance because my coordination is nonexistent. I am really not built to dance, but hey, I learned this choreography. It makes me proud. I can tell they prepared more for us, but sadly, we have run out of time. We used most of our time learning one dance.

Alyssa and I take center stage, and start dancing what we just learned. Monsta X sits on the floor, cheering us on. Aww, they're really cute. We dance through the whole song with as much energy as them. By the time we finish, we're all out of breath, breathing heavily. What a fun day it has been so far. We walk up to Monsta X, seeking feedback.
"So?" I asked.
"Perfect." I.M said.
"Aww, really?" I asked.
"Yes." I.M said.
"You guys nailed every part." Joohoney said.
"Nothing wrong." Shownu said.
"Thank you." I said, hugging each member.

Now that that's over, we head back to CRAVITY'S dorms. We are kind of tired from dancing for two hours straight. CRAVITY surprised us with another thing, since we look like idols, practiced like them, we now need to do a show, which they scheduled for us later tonight. Oh my God, there's more?! Idols really do work around the clock. With a few touch-ups, we would be prepared to do our first live show. That is nerve-wracking that they threw all this on us, but they wanted us to have an authentic idol experience. I guess the only way to do that is to do the whole schedule. Alyssa is excited for it, whereas me, a little introverted girl, is not ready for that many people's eyes on me. It's scary to me. I guess, here goes anything. If I leave the stage out of anxiety, then I'm blaming CRAVITY.
