Best Friend

Chapter 3

We arrive back to Alyssa's house late that night. Since the concert ended around 9pm, we couldn't get back to her house until around midnight. Once we got back to her room, we started talking about what had just happened.
"I don't know what just happened. Seongmin and I might be a thing, but at the same time, we want to take our time." I said.
"Just, take things slow. Don't stress it." Alyssa said.
"I know, but he's going to be famous soon. I'm worried about it." I said.
"Don't worry about it. If Seongmin loves you, the fame won't mean anything." Alyssa said.
"Hmm, alright. Oh, he just texted me." I said, looking down at my text.
Seongmin: Oh second thought, we never took time to become friends. Let's just be friends for now. I'm sorry to tell you like this :'(
Me: No, no I understand
Seongmin: I'll always love you tho
Me: I know♡
Seongmin: Yay, ttyl♡
Me: Ok♡
"Let me see." Alyssa said.
"Here." I said, handing her my phone.
"Oh, he just broke up with you, but it makes sense." Alyssa said.
"Yup, and I understand." I said.
"That's good. Aww, he was so sweet about it." Alyssa said.
"You should totally make Minhee and Heongjun make a variety show about their competition, fighting for you." I said.
"That's a great idea. I'll pitch the idea to them." Alyssa said.
"Give me credit." I said, laughing.

We fell asleep, endlessly talking about the concert. We watched the videos I filmed of the concert. We laughed at the jokes that Monsta X and CRAVITY made. Some of the members who weren't as good at English were adorable. I will remember this concert forever. That next morning, we got texts from the members. It was entertaining to see Minhee and Heongjun texting Alyssa at the same time, flirting and all sorts of stuff. I was set to leave going back home, but CRAVITY wanted to secretly hang out one more time today before they left. We agreed to hang out with them at their tour bus.

We took the taxi to where their tour bus is parked, at their hotel. We walk into the bus, and all the members were there. Seeing them without makeup is really cute. They look even better without makeup. Like, they're glowing. We sat down on their large couch in their bus. We started talking to each other. I take most of my time talking to Jungmo and Seongmin. I'm glad that Jungmo can speak English, and acts as a sort of translator for Seongmin. It was a little awkward because Seongmin had just broken up with me just last night. I really wanted to make it work, but with Seongmin being so busy, so it would honestly be hard. I really understand why we had to do what we had to do. So, for the meantime, we're just going to be friends. I'm content with that.

A few hours later, Minhee looked like he was taking the lead on the competition with Heongjun. He was making more moves because Heongjun was a bit more shy. Alyssa is loving it.
"Psst, Alyssa." I said.
"Huh?" Alyssa asked.
"If you were to pick a winner right now, who would it be?" I asked.
"Uhh, I'm thinking Minhee, but I can't tell right now." Alyssa said.
"Let's see where we are a few months from now." I said.
"Yeah, I'm waiting it out." Alyssa said.
"Imagine the rivalry you've created now. They're gonna get into fights when they get back to Korea." I said.
"Oh. . ." Alyssa said.
"I know they'll make up some day." I said.
"Yeah, I hope so." Alyssa said.

We had to leave the tour bus because their managers were coming back. CRAVITY had made an excuse to make them leave so they wouldn't know that they invited girls to their tour bus. That's a really risky thing for them to do. They're really risking their career, but they swear we're just friends, so it should honestly be okay. Later on, I pack up my things and head over to the airport to go back home. I say my goodbyes to Alyssa and her family. I go to my departure gate and take a seat. I wait to board my plane. Then, they called to board my plane, bound for Salt Lake. From there, I'll fly home.

I arrive back home later that afternoon. I say hello to my family when I walked into the house. I run down to my room and set my newly signed CRAVITY album on my K-pop shelf. I'm so happy to have it signed now. I look at all the selfies I took with Monsta X and CRAVITY. Aww, they're so cute, I love them. I want to print them and hang them up on my wall. I also took a few polaroid photos. I want to hang them up on a string and wooden clips. That would look real cute up in my room. That's the next project that I wanna do.

When the night came, Seongmin started texting me again.
Seongmin: How was ur flight?
Me: It was good
Seongmin: We're having our next concert soon
Me: Fighting!
Seongmin: Thank youuu
Me: You're welcome :)
Seongmin: I miss u
Me: I miss u too
Seongmin: I hope we meet again some day
Me: I know, I can't wait for that day
Seongmin: I can invite you to Korea
Me: Ooh, that would be fun
Seongmin: Maybe next year, or between comebacks
Me: Yeah, that would be nice
Seongmin: Ok, gotta go
Me: Have fun!
Seongmin: thx, bye!
I fall asleep after texting Seongmin. I had school the next morning, so I had to sleep early. I made my selfie with Seongmin and Jungmo as my lockscreen. It's super cute. That's all I can say is cute. It will be a good memory that I will keep forever. I really do hope that Minhee and Heongjun will work things out. Maybe by this time next year, they'll know what they want. Who gets who and whatnot. For now, we'll enjoy our wholesome friendship.
