Beth, Rick, Carl, Lil ass kicker and I all went back into the prison. It was dark by the time we got inside. We all see Hershel, Glenn, and Maggie on the ground in a circle. Maggie gestures to Beth to come sit with them and she does. Hershel then begins to talk. "How about we have Beth sing us a song?" Hershel says. Beth looks around the cement room at all of us and I see Rick nod to her then she begins to sing. I hear her smooth, soft, beautiful voice come out in song. She begins to sing Hold On by the great Tom Waits. Its nice listening to her sing, it actually feels like the world hasn't gone to shit. Once she stops singing everyone claps for her. "That was beautiful Beth" Maggie and Hershel tell Beth. "Alright everyone lets all turn in for the night" Rick announces. I immediately get up and start to walk up to the perch. I lay there for about an hour and I can't sleep, so I gather my crossbow, flash light, and poncho. I walk slowly and silently to the cage that protects the metal sliding door. I step outside the door then I slowly shut the door. The air is crisp and cold, that's a lot for someone to say about a Georgia night to. I jump a little when I hear the door open, I look up and I see that it's Beth. She smiles with her pearly whites. I try to smile back, but what do I have to smile about. "Are you ok Mr. Dixon?" she asks. "Call me Daryl, Mr. Dixon is to formal." I say. Beth then begins to giggle to herself. "Holy shit it's freezing out here!" She shivers. I take off my poncho and give it to her. She slings it over her neck. She then leans her head against my chest and I all of a sudden feel nervous. I then hear her fall asleep. I then feel my eyes slowly shut. We both sleep together under the pale moonlight.
