Let's start this book with this.
A long time ago-oh screw it. Let's just say that Tenko is a hunter of Artemis who dedicated herself to Artemis. The hunters of Artemis are mostly girls, and to be a hunter of Artemis you need to swear off boys, something Tenko is happy with.
Then Aphrodite (goddess of love, beauty, and sex) gets pissed 'cuz Tenko chose a life of hunting with no bf than a live of NO hunting with bf. So while Aphrodite is plotting how to kill Tenko (yes, Aphrodite is this petty and ruthless. She used to be a war goddess), her son Eros came up to her and said "hey mom, what do you think if I made Apollo(nb: God of music, sun, art, healing,ect) fall in love with that virgin huntress over there" while pointing at Tenko. Then Aphrodite said with happiness:"Of COURSE sweetie, make sure to shoot her with a lead arrow(nb:in Greek mythology, Eros has 2 types of arrows. One lead, which makes you hate something, the other gold, that makes you fall in love) OK? Just to make it interesting", while celebrating that she didn't have to use that much brain energy.
Then Eros shots a golden arrow at Apollo and a lead arrow at Tenko. This makes Apollo fall madly in love with Tenko and made Tenko absolutely despise him. Then Apollo declared his love to Tenko and she responded:"OK, you degenerate male. One, I'm asexual. Two, I've already took a vow of chastitude so f**k off!. Apollo, who wasn't gonna take no for an answer, started to chase Tenko, which is pretty bad since the vow she took.
Tenko pretty much decided to stay and fight, but unfortunately, Apollo was a God, so sh*t. Then she decided to pray to Artemis for protection and just as Apollo got her, Artemis transformed her into a stag (don't worry, this type of trope is seriously common in Greek mythology). Then Apollo is like "WTF!", and Artemis is like "Next time, fall in love with someone who isn't gonna run and reject you", and Tenko is like "dafuq?!, I asked for protection, not turning into an animal!", then Artemis is like "look, if you remain human, he won't stop pursuing you. Just think it as a honorable sacrifice".
From then on, Tenko became one of Artemis's sacred stags which Tenko is OK with. As long as Apollo gets a restraining order, that is.
