Best Friends Or More??? Chapter 3

"Good job Alex! You are really improving." I congratulated A younger boy in the pack that I was training. He ran upstairs to take a shower, I stayed down and kept practicing. It has been a month since my father passed and my mother followed a week after. I have officially taken the title of Beta and my life has been crazy ever since. I have had a ton of meeting and paperwork and other stuff since I took the title. My birthday is in two days and everyone is keeping a close eye on me.

I am showing signs of changing and Justin hasn't even left my side. It is quite annoying but oh well. I had a meeting to attend tonight and I don't wanna go but I have to. After another five minutes I ran up to my room and took a shower. When I got out I put on a black dress that went down to my knees that had thick straps but no sleeves. it was tight but flared out after my torso and a grey bow on the side looking tied off to the side wrapping around with grey felt wedges with ankle strap. I do a waterfall braid in my hair. I did my make up and walked downstairs to meet Justin, Jeremy. and Pattie. Pattie was dressed in a red gown that went to the floor and curly hair while Jeremy and Justin were in matching tuxes.

We got in the car and drove to the meeting. Me and Justin were sitting in the backseat holding up a conversation. When we got there Justin helped me out of the back and held my hand walking in. I bowed to the Alpha's since I was only a Beta I still had to show respect. Justin and his family on the other hand just nodded their heads.

After we had eaten and socialized a little bit Jeremy stood up and got everyones attention."You are all probably wondering why I have gathered this meeting. Well I have news for Natalie Barnes (have I given her a last name? sorry I can't remember.) that her father and mother has left to me to give her." Jeremy stood up and started speaking I gave him a confused look as he mentioned me. " Natalie your parents were deeply sorry they didn't tell you. Natalie your father was a shifter and that you know, but your mother, his mate, she was a witch." he said i gaped at him so shocked. I know my mom wasn't a wolf but I had always thought that she was just a human, never in my wildest dreams had I thought she was a Witch. I was so shocked I froze and let my thoughts drift. Justin shook me awake. I stood up "What there has to be a mistake." "there is no mistake Natalie you are part wizard and after your sixteen birthday you are scheduled to take lessons from wizards." "What, No, they would have told me why would they have kept this from me." I said shocked and starting to tear up. They would have told me. By now everyone had filed out leaving me, Justin, Patty, and Jeremy.  "Look how about we all go home, I'll make some tea, we can relax and discuss this. OK?" Pattie asked putting her hand on his shoulder as he wrapped his arm around her waist.

We all filed into the car. I had just realized Justin stayed oddly quiet. I sat in the  back and just didn't talk. When we got to the pack house I went up to my room and hanged into a pink tank top, grey booty shorts, and black ankle socks throwing my hair into a high pony tail taking off my make-up. I went back down stairs and sat on the couch Indian style playing with my hands. I was nervous to say the least.

Jeremy and Pattie came in the room carrying tea as Justin trudges down the stairs in basket ball shorts and nothing else. I starred then looked down as he caught me checking him out. I looked down as I felt a blush creep up my cheeks. Jeremy sat on the love seat pulling Pattie down beside him hugging her as he laid her head on his chest. I wish i had someone to love me like that and hold me. I wish i can find my mate soon.

Justin sits by me and Jeremy starts the conversation explaining. "Natalie I'm really sorry that I had to be the one to tell you. but you can't fight it or ignore it. You are a wizard. After your sixteenth birthday a week your teachers will come. They have requested to take you back to train but I told them I need you here. So we have come to the conclusion that they will move in here and train you." Jeremy told me I just nodded at the end. I couldn't help but feel he was holding something back. But I ignored it. After we finished we went p to our rooms and I just laid in bed beside Justin thinking til I eventually fell asleep in Justin's arms.

 I woke up in the middle of the night screaming in pain. My whole body hurt and I was covered in sweat. I could hear bustling around as I was carried into the forest by Justin. I was screaming and crying as the pain multiplied. I knew what was happening I was shifting.  Justin laid me in a clearing and sat down cradling me in his arms whispering in my ear. I felt all my bones rearranging and cracking into place. I let out one last ear piercing scream as it turned into a howl of agony. I fell to the ground fainting hearing a round of gasps.
