Petra
Petra woke with a start, her head was thumping and it took her a second to realise she wasn't at home or Damien's. She threw the blanket off herself and scrambled out of the unfamiliar bed, she ran to the door and ran, which wasn't all that helpful considering she had no idea where she was or which way the exit was, not that it mattered when she ran into what she had assumed was a wall and landed on her arse.
"So you're awake." She lifted her head and was surprised that the wall was in fact Sebastian.
"You! You....I..." she couldn't make her damned mouth work. "Look I won't tell anyone what you...." Well she wasn't sure what she wasn't telling people but she sure as shit was going to be telling anyone. "I won't say anything, just don't kill me, please." Would begging even work? She had know idea but she needed to find some way out, he laughed at her then crossing his large arms over his large chest.
"If I was gonna kill you kitten why would I bring you home to do it?" He laughed at her as he bent down and helped her back on her feet.
"Wait, home? As in your home?" She looked around, it did look quite masculine, clean lines, lots of wood beyond which was a very modern black and white kitchen. Then it hit her. "Was that your bed!" Her voice had gone up a few octaves.
"Would you have preferred the floor?" He threw at her, she began to pace, she pulled her hair from her ponytail and raked her hand through her hair before scrunching it back on top of her head.
"I would have preferred to be at home, why would you put me in your bed?" He went to answer but she didn't give him a chance. "What am I gonna tell Tony?" She was muttering to herself.
"Who's Tony?" He asked her.
"My boyfriend!" She yelled at him, he simply shrugged and walked back toward the kitchen. "Take me home!" She ordered following the hulk of man before.
"No." Was his simple response.
"Take me home Sebastian." She greeted her teeth.
"I can't let you go home until we've sorted something's out." He told her sounding bored.
"Listen Fido, I get it you're some weird inhuman shape shifting wolf boy, I really don't give a fuck, I want you to take me home so I can forget about all of you!" She shouted, the thing was Petra either went into full panic attack flight mode or angry fight mode and right now her fear was pushing her toward anger and fight.
"I prefer you when you're scared." He huffed at her. "First rule, I'm the Alpha and you need to show me respect, second rule, you have to break up with Tony and third rule you cannot and will not tell anyone about my kind."
"First rule, I'm not a fucking wolf ergo you're not my Alpha, second I'm not breaking up with Tony you psycho and thirdly who would I tell that would believe me. People think I'm crazy enough I'm not gonna encourage that way of thinking by saying I've seen men turn into dogs."
"Wolves not dogs and ergo?"
"Yes, ergo meaning therefore." She huffed. "Just take me home."
"You're not good at listening, I'm not taking you home I can't."
"What does that even mean?" She was getting irritated, she was still coming down from her panic attack.....wait her panic attack, it was Sebastian who talked her down, who showed her patience and didn't look at her like she was some freak. "Thank you." She whispered.
"What?" He looked shocked at her sudden change of tone.
"For helping me." She looked down and began twiddling her fingers, shame was all she felt now, the fire she had disappeared and the guilt that followed her panic attack's. She couldn't explain it, every time she had a panic attack her body felt heavy after, embarrassed by how she acted, embarrassed that she couldn't control her own feelings and embarrassed for being weak. "I'm sorry." She walked toward one of the large windows keeping her back to him. She must have looked such a state, it had been a long time since she had lost it like that.
She hadn't heard him move but felt the body heat from him and realised he stood right behind her. "Sorry for what?" His tone was softer.
"For what happened." She took a shaky breath and wrapped her arms around herself. "I'm an embarrassment."
"Petra-"
"Oh my gosh!" She turned and found he was closer than she thought and had to crane her neck to look at him. "All those people, they saw me." A fresh panic started in her chest, the thought of all those people seeing her lose her shit, seeing her breakdown they saw....
"Look at me." He said cupping her face in his large hands the action causing strangle tingles to form from her cheeks all the way down to her toes. "You did nothing wrong."
"But I-"
"Nothing, you hear me, nothing." He cut her off.
"I just can't control it," she felt the tears begin to fill her eyes, "I, I don't mean to..." the tears began to fall, "I just...I don't mean to be embarrassing." She couldn't help her little sob, she hated herself, hated that she wasn't in control of herself, like she just lived in this shell of a body and the rest was controlled by some phantom who took pleasure in causing her to lose herself. She pushed him away, "I need to go, I can't, I can't be here."
He ignored her and instead pulled her against his chest and wrapped her in his arms. "Shhh, I told you you're safe with me."
"Then why won't you let me go?" She murmured against his chest, taking in a deep breath noticing that for some reason with each breath she took his scent seemed to cal, her.
"It's to keep you safe." He whispered against her hair.
"And Tony?"
"He can't know about what we are, it's too risky for you to continue to be with him."
"I live with him Sebastian." She pulled away fro his embrace and hated how cold she suddenly felt. "I won't tell him, but I have to go home."
"I'll bring him here." Sebastian suddenly said.
"What?"
"I'll have Mila bring him and Damien so you can see him too." Sebastian walked away from her running his hand through his platinum locks. "We can tell him but you both have to stay here."
"At your house?"
"No he can stay at the pack house you stay with me."
"You want him to stay with the wolves?" She almost shrieked.
"I'm a wolf too, which by the way you're taking well."
"I..guess I'm hoping I was imagining things." She shrugged, it was true, it was so fantastical how could people just turn into wolves. It was less far fetched than her flaking out and imagining what she saw.
"You weren't, you need to accept that."
"It can't be real." She whispered. Sebastian shook his head and stepped into the middle of the room and she watched as his body began to contort, she gasped as suddenly the handsome man was no longer a man but a huge, beautiful white wolf.
