The Moon

A luminous pearl embedded in the dark velvet sky,
Takes the starry road across the
jewel-encrusted night.
Casting her beams of ethereal light,
Upon the mystical dreams of a sleeping world.

A crystal ball floating in the calm, midnight waters,
Sails down a winding cerulean river.
Silver light floods the realm of nature,
Drowning out all darkness.

The peeping eye of a bruised face,
Closes gently and prepares to rest.
Her journey is over; she waves farewell,
To a slowly waking world bathed in rays of sunlight.
